This was the first video that finally allowed me to make a whole granny square. The pace and explanations finally allowed it to click for me!

There are so many different granny squares. I use to know it by heart. Thank you. This is the square I taught myself when I was in high school. I am 71 years young 😊 and you saved my anxiety. This is what calms me down. I crocheted my mother who is 92 in her own apartment an afghan. It was a king size afghan. She still has it and it looks like new. I used this exact pattern. 😅😅😅 Thank you so much. I have subscribed to you. I'm so exhilarated. ❤❤❤❤

I’ve been crocheting ALL summer and never made ANYTHING successfully. My sister started at the same time as me and i admit, MUCH better than me. But yesterday i actually made my first creation! A granny square from YOUR tutorial ❤❤ so i just want to say thank you so much! Also i made another one! I really wanna make a quilt out of them! ❤❤❤

I feel like this is the first real beginner's video I've ever seen! I felt like an idiot for not being able to do this. I deeply appreciate that you explain why you're doing what you're doing and show exactly which hole you are working in. Thank you so so so much!

Raise the flag and phone the neighbors! A beginners tutorial that actually behaved as if it were for...well, beginners. I found this video to be truly instructive (thanks for slowing things down!) and helpful on so many levels, but especially with regard to the geography of the square, and the way that geography changes as you add more rounds. Seems a simple enough concept, but nowhere in the dozen or so other videos I've watched was the pattern broken down to "dc 3, chain 2, dc 3". Six dcs is not the same as 3dc, chain 2, dc 3. NOW, after your vid, I can recognize the patterns of the stitches, and where the real holes are. After about 13 attempts this week, i was finally able to successfully crochet a granny square. Thank you!
  • Thanks so much for going slow! I too paused often but I finally got it!!! Made 64 squares and have a beautiful blanket 💕

FINALLY.....a tutorial that I can actually follow and understand! Thank you so much for this! I have successfully made my very first granny square!

I am glad you told the beginners to turn their work on the Granny Square pattern because it will keep the pattern/square in a nice square shape. If a person does not turn their work the square gets a slant or sort of a spiral wonky shape. You have made a helpful tutorial 🧶

  • Both my great grandma and my grandma tried to teach me to crochet for years but I just couldn't follow them but your video is so easy! Thank you for making it possible to carry on a family tradition that I thought I had lost out on 💙💚❤

  • @selectsesto4637
I love this tutorial!!! ......it is so easy to follow and understand. I am Autistic so the slowed down version is great as my processing speed is a bit slower. I can now make lovely blankets thanks to you xxxx
  • I have tried to do this for YEARS and have given up every time in frustration! I've always been more natural as a knitter but I just finished my first granny square thanks to this tutorial and am excited to finally make the granny square blanket of my dreams! (Me, dramatic? Never. :P)

This doesn’t get enough credit. Between the relaxed method and calming voice- my adhd finally clicked after failing for so long. Thank you!!
  • @minilove90
This was the only, I repeat THE ONLY tutorial that taught me to crochet, and to be able to do it on my own. Thanks so much! Also, your voice is sooo similar to Mila Kunis, the entire experience of learning crochet from you is epic.
