My dad had a CD called “The best of the doors” in our car, the cd was stuck inside so nobody could pull him out, so we had to hear all this 19 songs of The Doors. At the time i was a little kid and always got annoyed when he started playing this cd loud, with time i started listening to all this songs with more attention and started to realize the masterpierce that this songs are. L.A WOMAN was probably his favorite song from the album, he played over and over till he got bored specially when drunk. Last night he left this world at the age of 56, and i find so much memories and good moments with him listening to this song, the cd is still stuck in the radio of the car. I miss you so much dad, love you ALWAYS! Edit: Today 9 June was his birthday, and im celebrating like he was here, and listen to this album non repeat. Wanna say thank you everyone for reaching out and supporting.

I created a monster by introducing my son to the Doors.. He had everything Doors in his room. Electric guitar drove us crazy. He was a happy teenager. That's what matters 😊

" Are you a lucky little lady in the city of light Or just another lost angel, city of night City of night ..." This is poetry.....pure poetry !
  • A timeless classic. One of the best songs ever created. To say these guys were good, is an understatement.
  • My sister was murdered this week but she is dancing with Jim right now. Aimee Welch... I love you Sister ... We always danced when we heard Jim come on... no matter where we were. Missing you, Loving you, now and for the rest of my life ❤❤❤❤

Once I learned that “Mr Mojo Risin” is an anagram for Jim Morrison, this song became something more. In a way I can’t quite put my finger on let alone describe. Seems like an amalgamation of the zeitgeist/soul of late 60’s/early early 70’s LA and the spirit of the many “lost angels” that resided there turned into song…

Frankly, one of the best genuine rock and roll songs of all time. Nobody could have done this better or like Jim - It's ethereally perfect. Play it while entering LA on the freeway. Divine.

There is nothing better on a long drive than this, Roadhouse Blues, Break on Through, Hotel California, Radar Love, Running Down a Dream, Running on Empty, and various other 60s/70s tunes. They just fit perfectly for long stretches of travel.
  • @leenothnagel
I could be wrong but this is one of the greatest driving songs ever
  • The Doors performed an amazing mix of musical genres, had a fascinating lead man, and are undeniably one of the best rock bands to have ever walked the Earth.

One of my favorite album covers and record liner. If you were unwrapping this in '71 you know what I'm talking about. The digital world killed all that. Too bad.
