  • Here's an explanation of the whole teacher and his son situation so you understand better. The teacher was Dongeun's homeroom teacher in high school and his son went to the same college as Dongeun. However, they weren't friends before and the only reason why the son knows Dongeun is because she approached him and seduced him a little bit on purpose. And since if people find out that the son comes from a "family of educators" who were actually extremely abusive towards the students (the actions of the homeroom teacher), it would not be a good look for the son and his chances of becoming a teacher would drop to basically zero. So Dongeun got close to him on purpose and figured out that he would be ambitious enough to let his father die for his own gain. That was her plan. And I love the fact how poetic the homeroom teacher's death is. He tried to cover up all his bad doings and tried to appear as a great educator in front of his son because he loves him so much. But his son turned out to be someone who is willing to murder his own father just to achieve his goals. Oh the irony.
  • I want you to note that family history/background is very important in Korea. Any bad image one of your immediate family has becomes a bad reputation on you to, especially if you or your family member was quite well known in whatever field they were in. So yes his fathers bad deeds could and probably would have cost him to loose his job. Also I would also like to add with the Jae-Jun thing (colourblind dude) u asked why he cares so much about the colorblind thing, the reason is also has to do with the culture in Korea. Like the being perfect and flawless culture, having a weakness no matter what it is, will always be looked down upon in society. So whenever any talk abt his weakness comes up or anything that feels like it might be making fun of his weakness is something he doesn’t like.

7:20 In fact, the literal translation is not "Welcome to my classroom" but "Welcome to my gym", which is much more meaningful. And your pronunciation of the names sounds good~!

I recommend you to put on "English" subtitle not "English CC". Translation is much better on just "English". In case you didn't know it before, yeah they are different. The whole sentences are different I mean.

Myeong o was curious if Dong eun has Jaejun's kid because she ask Myeong o to get some of Jaejun's hair for DNA test. He thought Dong eun has Jeajun's kid. Dong eun want to do DNA test from Jaejun's hair just to make sure if Ye sol (Yeon jin's daughter) is Jaejun's daughter.

I really hope you change the subtitle. Use "English" instead of "English CC" its give more specific and more understandable.

In my opinion, she changed her mind on how to get her revenge when she learned to play Go. She liked the idea of "fighting to death in silence"
  • Your Korean name pronunciation is quite good👍 other some reactors didn't even mention their names. Also glad that you like soju. 👍

Jaejun is mad about his condition because he can't throw money at it to fix it. plus he has a temper. also the homeroom teacher's punishment is his son ironically enough. in government jobs (such as public school teachers) reputation is king. and his son threw him away to protect his job.

I know some people have brought this up already, but as someone who's bilingual in Korean and English, I can confirm that the English CCs can be very off with what's said sometimes and it's driving me up the wall lol. Some examples: Dongeun (before leaving the gym): I hope you don't mind that I watch you, Yeon-jin. What she actually said: You don't mind if I leave some comments on the [news channel] forum boards right? (obviously subtly threatening to soil her reputation online to get her cancelled. Korean social media peeps can be vicious) Yeonjin: Then you should have just died back then! Dongeun CC: Where would the fun be? What she actually said: For whose contentment/satisfaction? not that the regular English subs is perfect but still 😅
  • I love reaction.❤ I'd like to let you know that hyun nam did her duty well. So you don't need to worry.

Some clarification: -Myeong-o isn't jealous or anything. His curiosity about whether Jae-jun fathered a child with Dongeun is simply more out of amusement over the fact that a bully would have a kid with a victim, someone that they didn't even view as human -Dongeun became acquainted with the teacher's son back during college years (purposefully of course). They're briefly seen together in the previous episode when the doctor tracked her down to her school. But because she knows that the son is innocent, she gave him a chance by explaining what his father did to her instead of posting about it right away online. Even if it was the father's wrongdoing, reputation will affect the whole family in Korea and the son would've been unable to become a teacher solely based on that reputation.

I will add to people's comments. Teachers are also respected professions and paid fairly well in Korea, unlike the US.
