Thats some greek tragedy levels of irony, that Vulkan is the most loving/caring of the Primarchs and yet he is the only one that possesses the ability to create a great doomsday weapon
  • A conversation between Vulkan and Sanguinius with both knowing Sanguinius was going to his death would be a heart rending conversation given that they both would gladly give up their lives to protect humanity. The Emperor clearly used up all his compassion in the creation of these two brothers. I'd be happy with any new Vulkan lore.

The Emperor brings Vulkan back to life. Ferrus Manus: “Am I a joke to you?”
  • Vulcan is one of the most underrated primarchs. Also u had me at " loyalist KONRAD????!!!" Oh boy
  • Wasnt expecting to find this gem of a channel, truly a diamond in the rough.
  • Well that answers the age-old question: "what will happen if the Emperor dies?"
  • "A purified Night Haunter" The galaxy would shiver at the thought. Konrad was the ace in the hole if played wisely. This is in my opinion one of the emperors greatest errors. Konrad was full of so much potential, even compared to his brother primarchs. If kurze only had an upbringing like corax, the lord of the blood angels would truly be avenged. Konrad cared for him the most.

The conversation between Corax and the Emperor after the Isstvaan massacre is much better in my opinion. Also in that conversation Corax feels even love of a sorts from the Emperor. Also Corax is the first (and maybe only) Primarch to whom the Emperor actually tells himself about the true nature of Chaos and Daemons. It is in the book "Deliverance Lost".

The Emperor "You where ever my greatest and most cherished son....Angron"
  • @kelman727
My hunch is he could only bring back Vulkan because of his perpetual ability, somehow reactivating it.
  • @KaiserAfini
Eldrad: "A megaweapon that will deal a blow Chaos will never recover from, you say ? Lets get you plenty of psykers so we can make that psychic boom nice and cataclysmic. What are you standing around for ? Your Emperor is starving"
  • @mikevasquez1103
I imagine the Emperor's feelings towards his Primarchs is similar to a scientist's towards his greatest brainchild. He knows it could be used for either glorious good or horrific evil. "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds".
  • Entertain yourself with this: What if the Aquila is actually a Phoenix. Why does the Emperor adorn himself with golden eagles & flames? Perpetuals are reborn when they die. What is the perfect symbol for the Great Crusade? The re-emergence of mankind from the ashes of the Dark Age. Why did he name Fulgrim’s legion His Children? Why did he allow them the honor of bearing the Palantine Aquila? Where else does the iconography of the phoenix appear?
