Left American Idol disappointed, came back performing a song that pretty much says, "I understand now why it had to happen, and I'm so glad that it did." So happy for Chris Daughtry.

How successful this guy is, tells the fact that most of people, like myself, didn't even know that he ever was on Idol show. I heard his songs and I loved them and soon started listening to his band... He is true winner because of the fact that his success is not based only on this show, like other three (I don't even know who they are, and I bet most of the people don't, but everyone's heard of band Daughtry) but on his own success. He never gave up, that's why he's succeeded.

Me and my parents are kinda glad he didn't win. A lot of people who win American idol end up unhappy with the contracts they sign. I LOVE Chris and his music. I'm glad he didn't win because he got a contract the he was comfortable with.

If I was him I would have given up that easily losing all my hope, but instead he chose to rise back up again, and now hes songs are iconic and inspirational.

A lot in the comments here mad Daughtry didn't win. Think about it though....if Daughtry won he would've been stuck on a contract. He is the true winner though.
