I picked up this set for $70. I don't like them.

You talked me into it. I'm buying a pair. Durable, tough to take apart... what a man needs on the field!

It's about $60 in my country, Getting myself one soon because I don't really trust Spyder because their website doesn't have specs about their glasses. Edit: The orange tint is to have higher contrast in sunny days.

Used these for years as my go to safety glasses at work. Biggest down side for me is the removable temples but nothing a little rtv/silicone can’t fix
  • I have used the clear for over five years indoor range and the do a great job, resist scratches very well. Mine are still in top condition.(With and without my script insert) But needing colors for trap I tried replacing the lens and had the same trouble. I eventually ran them under hot water & that made it a BIT easier to remove but mounting them is truly a bear and I do it at home not in the field. I wound up buying the rust, magenta, gray combo to have the set I need with extra frames.
  • I just got these and had no problem getting them on, but the instructional diagram is criminally misleading. It indicated a straight vertical motion to get them on/off, which is certainly not the way to install these. When you take them off, put a little pressure on the eyebrow part of the frame by moving it toward one side of the nibs (push toward the nose guard or ear side a little). Then you just rotate one side off with a little upward pressure, and then the other side is free and clear. Same thing in reverse to get them on. I actually find it very easy to get them on and off, and the tight final fit makes sure they feel rigid. Another good product that might fail a lot of people just because of some bad 2 cent instructions. When will companies learn you just need to put out a stupid video for people regardless of how easy you think something is. When I got my Benelli Ethos theres literally nothing in the manual about the waterfowl plug, and I remember thinking "This is definitely going to get some people". I was the people...

I just bought these and the vid scared me a bit. The pair I have do come apart with a little force nothing alarming tho, maybe they improved on the design? I found pulling from the inner tab part worked better. Going to test them out for a full day on the range and see how comfortable they are

I had this same issue. Once I got it off the first time it went on and off way easier. That first time getting it out is a pain in the butt though.

Not sure what happened with yours. I just bought a pair and it works fine for me. It’s a year later so maybe they made some adjustments.

No me gustó en lo más mínimo ese sistema de cambio de los lentes, el marco debiera ser de una sola pieza, muchas gracias por sus explicaciones

These glasses were considered and in my Amazon cart. Removing promptly. However you may have a video on the smith aegis echo II? The small amount here STILL has me considering those. Thank you

Do they come with the perscription lens inserts?
  • Thanks for your review, you're not on your own, send them back to the manufacturer, in the UK we would class them as 'not fot fit for purpose'. They have claimed they're interchangeable given how they have been designed that could be successful argued against the manufacturer that they're not! I have a pair that too are ridiculous to pull apart by their method. I shall be contacting Wiley in California and asking them to sort it out!

Just a note, I see that you seem to have a bit of a 'hobby' ( some might say, fetish ) in Microphones and the booms on which they are supported. Can't help but wonder why you don't just use those effective and 'neat' lapel mics that simply ( form what the viewer notices ) do not get in your way. My Wiley-X temple bars hurt me too!

You moved into a smaller place to have more money for guns?
