An absolute musical legend, how many music artists have got to the level of fame and acclaim Kendrick has gotten without selling out even to the tiniest extent even though his music can be as experimental and weird as it is at times, I don’t have a bad word to say about Kendrick, he’s a genius

So…I’m a pretty old white dude that doesn’t really “get” most rap. The second song literally gave me fucking goosebumps. Wow! I clicked on this just because I’ve heard the name before but realized I’ve never heard him before. Glad I clicked.

8:46 As humans, our base instincts tell us to protect our midsection/stomach area because that's our most vulnerable part of our body. That's why when people are nervous or scared, sometimes you instinctually cover your stomach with your hands or arms.

Just like his live showing of “I” back in the day, Kendrick brings something so unique to these performances that I might just end up liking these more than the studio version

I'm an old head Hip Hop purist, 54 years old, and in love with this genre from the time a cousin who lived in Brooklyn sent me a Grandmaster Flash party cassette in 1983. I say all of that to say this, Kendrick has really taken rap to a new level he reminds so much of Thom Yorke and Radiohead in that sonically he's unafraid and is true to himself. The whole performance was brilliant and I love that he obviously gives zero fucks about accusations of being pretentious.

I saw kendrick live in San Diego, and he does the silhouette thing on his tour with a lot of the songs too. My favorite was "Count Me Out" where the silhouette has arrows in his back, was beautiful.

The amount of times I’ve watched these snl performances is starting to become excessive, got the chance to see him live in the big steppers tour and it really brings ya back to that. Amazing to witness such an artist among our times

In fact, I think Kendrick's movements can be read as dance, choreography. Perhaps some of the movements are choreographed or even improvised, but this is dance. Dance is something super broad and complex. I'm Brazilian and I love your work, all the best!

I thought the "arm crossing his stomach" move that transition to the "fist at his heart" move that transitioned to the "push out motion" was like symbolizing how men are told to not be vulnerable, to always push their emotions and feelings all the way down to the pit of their stomach. And then it's like the song is him speaking from the heart and getting it out or pushing it, whatever. Idk could be wrong but that's what I assume
