Sports Card Market Update - Wemby Cards Crashing!?

There's a difference between crashing and a flooded market leveling out pricing. Wemby is still a buy.

Nah, people are still on that Wemby feeding frenzy. In fact, his cards have been blowing up over recently with ROY coming up, and especially with the release of the Panini Select boxes. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about on this subject.

Pulled a wemby pink ice, kinda salty I could’ve sold it for 700 but I’m confident it’ll reach that again personally. Well aware of new product and player hype been through it before, this dude feels different though.

Wemby will win rookie of the year and maybe even defensive player of the year. Yes the base cards always come down but the numbered parallels should hold steady. His cards will go crazy again in September.

I think buying up Edwards and Maxery rookies 2 years ago was a brilliant move on my behalf.

I am still very bullish on Shohei Ohtani cards, he is a complete beast

They will continue to dip since so many are still being ripped and fat packs haven’t even been released yet. However this will stabilize and then recover but all depends on his play next year

Wemby had a great rookie season and deserves recognition. The problem is the fact that there are so many Wemby cards out there. A lot of investors will regret buying so high early on. FOMO is real and I get it when a rookie shines like he has. He has a thin frame and the NBA is a league with many players that are much larger. The long schedule is grueling and many get injured every year. I hope he stays healthy and has a great career as he seems like a great young man. I have not purchased one Wemby card as I think the prices are absurd!

You can still buy prizm retail for msrp, meaning wemby base and silvers still have a ways to fall. Once we get into the true off-season and optic is out, it'll be probably the best time you'll get to buy his prizm cards

2022-23 Bowman’s Best University #51 Victor Wembanyama…. Currently has a gem rate of 4.6% for the base in PSA10 with over 1800 graded. Compared to the refractor gem rate @34%

I just sold a base Prizm Wemby for $125 CAD. lol. Wemby is literally the only rookie in all of sports right now worth investing in.

Only reason Wemby cards are crashing atm on raw sales is because china reprints started surfacing but graded authentic cards are still at value imo

Nothing more than off season prices going down, happens to literally every card. Still a buy and if a dip continues, massive buy in opportunity
