So I picked up the game and I've discovered a few things: 1. You don't consume materials after completing a job. There's just a limit to how much you have on hand of each material per job. 2. There are different characters with different backstories 3. When hammering on a anvil, the HARDER the swing, the more the material will CONDENSE and SHRINK. It is often better to use lots of little swings to stretch a shape an ingot. You'll wind up with a larger piece that is easier to finish with the metal saw. The exception to this is if you are using the anvil with the vise attachment to bend metal pieces. Hit that sucker as hard as you want and the further out your hammer is from the anvil, the more bend you will get. Hope this helps!

IRL; saws for metal have very small, tightly placed teeth while wood saws have larger teeth.
