Watch this very well done CGI animated short by the talented team at IMA! In "Tardigradia -- The Wild Little World" you will see an exotic world of plants and animals normally only visible through a microscope. Micro-universes are the ecologic spine of our planet. The latest techniques and the combination of different microscopic scanning devices will reveal astonishing details that few have ever seen. Come and discover all the exciting hidden little worlds on our planet

There are unfamiliar animals that live near us. Micro-universes are home to fascinating and lovely creatures. Every centimeter of land around us is a jungle of different habitats.

The most exciting animals of our world are also among the smallest. Tardigrades, also called "Water Bears", are no larger then half millimeter! Yet they can survive extreme conditions such as radiation or a vacuum. They can even survive travel through open space.

I could go for a whole documentary or even tv series solely on tardigrades. They're my favorite animal because they're just so darn cute and versatile.
  • @Crowborn
We needed to pay more attention to the micro worlds... great piece of art
  • Imagine how many water bears live in your bathroom and you never cared to acknowledge their cute existence

At 3:01, the Tardigrade gets hit from behind by pollen and screams. Now I discover they have vocal cords? Very well done!!

I kinda lost the plot. The centipede is kinda like Batman right?
  • Wow! What an awesome little movie. Very cool :) I remember observing and capturing many little creatures as a child - this reminded me of it. The small world all around us is absolutely astonishing!

How come they can make a beautiful animation like this, but they can't put a story together for shit?
