Linus is a big fan of handheld PCs and regularly carries around an Ayaneo, so when GPD sent over their new GPD Win 4 with a sweet slide out keyboard and some beefy specs, Linus knew he had to check it out.

  • When Linus looks more at the tech, than the camera, you know he's into it
  • @Neoxon619
With the Switch 2 further off than anticipated, I feel like we’ll be getting a lot of handheld gaming PCs this year.
  • This thing is like my teenage tech dream! The aesthetic of the PSP/Vita, with a decent form factor and that late 2000s aesthetic slide up screen and mini keyboard! 🤯🤯🔥
  • @kmcel190
The fact that they have a 64gb RAM model and 4TB of storage is actually incredible! And it supports mobile data connection!
  • I would love to see a "how well does it work with the Steam OS" section in every handheld PC review.
  • As someone who only observes the handheld market, this is the first one where I'm actually like "wow". Not just because of the device itself but also the realization how far we've come in terms of handheld performance. I would be very interested in a video trying out potential use cases for this as the "main personal computer", with various docking configs.
  • Been following GPD's shenanigans for years. Good to see they're still at it.
  • GPD nailed it this time. From form factor, to design (big F to Sony), to speaker, to performance, to eGPU support. Man if only I have unlimited amount of money.
  • I literally gasped in joy when you showed it had a full fletched keyboard. That thing is sick
  • First handheld were I said - I want this. They're pushing all the right buttons with this thing.
  • @vanman266
I'm glad they went for 1080p. Perfect balance of FPS vs PPI for a screen this size.
  • @iBangAPES
out of all the handhelds thats being released recently, the Win4 is still top on my list. is such an amazing little device
  • @MmDonuts
The GPD Win 4 looks friggin' awesome.
  • I've ordered one a few weeks* ago! The fact it's so much more portable than the Deck means I'll use it more for it's 'portable' use
  • Finally, a handheld that actually met my two expectations, small and fairly powerful.
  • @RaptorJesus.
i've just purchased the new 2023 version which has a 7840u instead of the 6800u, 64 gigs of ram, yes SIXTY FOUR gigs, and 4TB SDD. its a replacement for my ancient and archaic GPD Win 1 with 4 gigs of ram, windows 11 takes up half the ram, through sheer willpower i managed to get Baldur's Gate 3 running at a painful 5FPS :P so looking forward to playing modern games on the go again!
  • @Kekeripo
Another great thing you didn't mention: this thing has "backpacks". It ha snotches next to the air vents so you can hook up a LTE module or other stuff they come up with.
  • @ronochow
I can't believe we've come this far in mobile tech. It's what as a kid I could only dream of, and now it's here.
  • @EleosAnim
You can tell Linus in this video really is excited about this handheld its like watching him re-live his younger day opening a christmas gift.
  • This thing reminds me a ton of the old Sony Vaio UMPCs from like, 2006, but in a Vita-type format for games. Absolutely love how this looks as somebody who thinks the Steam Deck is way too big for me to want one.
