Since I had this session with author and Poker Mindset Coach Tommy Angelo, my winrate has gone up and more importantly, my life happiness has increased as well! Poker can be an extremely stressful job, but it doesn't have to be. Cultivating presence is an absolute must to play your best.

Tommy is one of the most incredible humans I've gotten to know through poker. I'm so grateful he's been willing to do interviews with me and sessions like this. If you want to see how he can help you in 30 minutes too, sign up for a coaching spot with him- (I don't get anything promoting this link, I just think HE'S AMAZING)

Thank u so much for this! As we get older, we realize common sense is one of or the most important tools we have to just deal in life. All of this advice is so basic but more important than anything else. Tommy is A gem!!! Great coach!!

Thank you so much, Kristy! That was fantastic and I really needed to hear coach Tommy's insights at this time in my poker game.

Hey Kristy, thank you for sharing this video! His advice is absolutely spot on! If we apply his teaching, then you & I can win like your husband & brother-in-law! I would love to see you to win the main event one year!!!
  • This was awesome. I love Tommy. Kristy, has the sitting up, scanning the stacks, resetting each hand been helping? This is a great practice.

Today I did a good job implementing refocusing after each hand. Problem was the $5/5 at Seven Mile was packed and three of their normal players ended up at my $2/3. Got in so many interesting spots because of the drastic dynamics change from the normal game. I got it in good once and bad once. Lost both but was a great learning experience. Thanks for the video Kristy.
  • Hey Kristy! Great video with Tommy Angelo! I feel you are the most relatable persona in poker because you did leave a successful career to go pro and I think you provided the most in depth view into the life of a small-mid stakes pro. I remember your 4 part life of a small stakes grinder interview for pokernews a few yrs ago..and that was great insight to that world...way b4 all these vlogs popped up. Anyway, can you describe your journey going from 1-3 to 5-10. What to expect. And differences bet the stakes in Vegas..LA..Bay area. I play in Borgata usually and I hear the 2-5 plays like a 1-3 in Vegas. It would be great to see a video about your thoughts on how to rise up in cash games. Also do you credit your current cash game strategy to Andrew Seidman's Easy Game poker book and coaching? Or did you come up ith your own style since maybe that information may be dated? Looking fwd to your response!
