  • I was expecting a "You'll shoot your eye out kid" story This is just bad, glad you shared it.

Wow... I was floored when you told your story of the events leading up to the patch... additionally I was shocked that anyone would ask you about your eye patch. I just assume when I see an eye patch the story behind it is never going to be a happy one so I just prefer to leave it alone, and by giving us the rundown on how you ended up with yours it proves my reasoning. .. thank you for sharing such a personal part of your private life with us. I'm glad your around to make videos and to provide entertainment and info on Youtube.

Man that’s rough, I’m sorry to hear about your eye, sir. You have a good heart though, keep up the good content !

I wouldn't call it rough. I'd call it normal. I'd kill for my family.

You didn't have to...but you did. That kind of candor is extraordinary. You're a gentleman and a scholar... And there's very few of us left. 😁

When someone recovers from a terrible event, it is sometimes for a reason. In your case it's bringing a lot of good airgun info to us in an entertaining fashion. We're all glad you recovered, don't change a thing and keep up the good work. THANKS Joe.
  • I’ve been stabbed and slashed myself Joe, never shed one damn tear over it, we are stronger than we know...

Wieghing in late on this. Back in 1986 I was stabbed in my right eye by some unknown drunk street person because I did not give him a $1.00 so he could by more alcohol. My right eye was so damaged that the doctors removed the lens. The eye’s cornea was also damaged plus the back of my eye close to the optic nerve was cut. As the eye healed, my vision is blurred and what I can see is at 12 degree angle. So know my right eye is in effect useless to me. Aside from a lack of depth perception the biggest hindrance is I have to shoot rifles and shotguns left handed. Not a big problem that is other then trying to find left hand rifles that I would want, so I got into the bolt action pistols like an XP100 which I can shoot right or left hand. As I reflected over the years on this assault on me and my injury from it that this was my fault for letting my guard down with my assailant. It was a lesson that I learned from, and that is to never trust strangers anymore no matter their mental state of mind.
