Started workout after seeing this two years ago. Couldn't even bench 115lb back then. Now just hit 225lbs yesterday, deadlifting 315lbs. Will keep going!

Actual documentary "Pumping Iron" starts at 13:20ish
  • RIP Franco, you were a huge part of my teenage years and an inspiration. Sleep well bro.

Arnold the type of guy to cover his homeboy's eyes from behind and say "guess who?"

  • @lllostsoulll
I wish more bodybuilders would be open and honest about steroids like Arnold.
  • @Dbzfanofgoku
Massive respect for Lou, the filmmakers were very unfair to him.
  • @NoBody-ht1oh
Lou has the last laugh. Looks the healthiest out of all of them.
  • @DesdeEscondido
Didn’t someone tell Arnold “I don’t want to get that big” and answered back with “don’t worry you never will”
  • @maxxxmodelz4061
Arnold was a genius. I don't know if there was anyone in bodybuilding history who had more ambition, drive, and charisma than Arnold. Even to this very day, there's never been anyone in bodybuilding like him.

People need to watch this and see that bodybuilders are not a bunch of meatheads that go " oh look at me im strongest in world." These are real genuine men. God bless all of them.
  • @hernvillie
Lou is actually an unsung hero in this film. And in building. His personal development and physical development is unique and greatly respected by me. I watched this for Lou too.
  • @saharishaji1992
Rest in peace Franco. You'll always be one of the greatest.🙏
  • @MrGoldFunkyBoy
I found it sad...that Lou didn't want to win...it didn't matter about the title...he just wanted to be like Arnold...having fun and working out and just being socially happy. I like that he saw that and said, I need to work on myself :)
  • This group of guys still inspire me to this day. From 1981-1985 I was engrossed in the world of bodybuilding myself. I won a few titles. As a result I became a bodybuilding judge for local New England competitions. It was one of the greatest times of my life. At my last competition, I had the honor of meeting Franco. I met Louie a few times as well as Arnold himself. The last competition I went to was the 2001 Mr Olympia in Las Vegas. A friend and training partner of mine was competing. Pumping Iron is where it all began for me! Thank you Arnold, Louie, Franco, and company! Franco and Ed Rest in Peace, eternal champions!💪🏻💙

I'm impressed that planes were that advanced back in the day to carry all that weight without crashing
  • @shanedownes983
I've just rented and watched Pumping Iron for the first time. In 1983 this was on TV in England and as a young 16 year old boy just starting out using weights I was keen to watch it but had to work so missed it. Well, 38 years later I finally have! Truly inspirational.
  • “Do you have to talk at all? Arnold: “No. Only if you’re the winner. So I talk a lot.” I need to channel this man
