In this series of Gamer Garbage... my video editor bought me some Nintendo, Xbox, and Sony consoles. And let me tell you - a lot of them purchases were truly garbage, unfortunately. Let me know which console in this video is your favorite!

Which console from this video is your favorite? I always love a good broken Xbox 360 🐔

For the PS2 , generally the colored discs are CDs , silver discs are DVDs . It was very common for the drives to stop reading DVDs while working fine for CD games .
  • For the Japanese n64, ebay has 3d printed cartridge trays you can use so you can play both u.s. and Japanese games so you don't have to clip out the one the console came with, just swap them out.
  • @Ridley1911
Japanese n64s ARE compatible with US NTSC games, the only thing preventing you from doing it is the physical lock on the cartridges, you slap a region free tray in there and you can play anything., alternatively you could have swapped the back part of the shell of the japanese game onto the pikachu cart and it would have worked.

Why didn't you show the DDR mat? That is actually a GameStop brand one that has a multi-adapter for all the systems. It's a unique piece of nostalgia, I wanted to see it lol. Also that's the PS1 control glove
  • @tarantinoish
The only region modding that goes into N64 consoles is the plastic piece inside the console that you can replace, or cut out the tabs that block the cart from going in. There is no technical modification. I cut the plastic tabs out of mine and it can play Japanese or US games.

CD and DVD lasers are different wavelengths and built into the same package (CD is red so you can see eye death, DVD isn't visible with the naked eye, so cannot see eye death). One can go bad and the other continues to work. A lens clean and a bit of a potentiometer turn may help with a lower resistance and more power, but it's only temporary all things considered.
  • @rtv-gaming
The PS2 laser is partially dead because it's strong enough to read PS2 blue discs ( normal CDs) but can't read silver discs ( DVDs) If you change the laser it should work hopefully

Were the power switch/reset button always brown on a gold N64, or has the gold been rubbed off over time?

Hey jacob, i have a idea, you should try find a PSP or PS Vista and refurbish / just have a look at them. Would be a cool gem to find!
  • @DaBloxxer420
in my opinion, this series so far is better in terms of now your rating them and your not just doing the same consoles (wii, ps3, xbox 360) but it seems to be a wider variety on what you get received in this series so everyone knows, this series is NOT gamer garbage
  • 9:30 it's a special Halo edition, this noise makes you immersed, it's like you are in a real Halo vehicle driving it around!
  • @AhmadZuhair85
I'm from Jordan, and the same post office area 😂
  • There are only 2 different n64 region codes; usa/japan and europe. You can also use any N64 psu with any N64 console, so the seller clearly didn’t know what they were selling.

This reminds me. I'll have to go and fire up my Wii U. It is still hooked up in my HT system, but just had not played it at all for awhile.
