Riding bikes in Thailand, you can easily blag it with the police with a car license from home + International permit but you'd have no chance with insurance if anything went wrong.... But after riding here for 12 years, I am finally doing things legally!

Get insurance when you travel... especially if riding bikes

…and the really important info in your video is that long term ex-pat stayers have INVALID insurance without a Thai licence! I got my Thai car and bike licence without any test because I have a full UK bike & car licence with international licence stamped accordingly. Car licence 205 baht. Bike, 105. Ride safely.

Can you get the license if you have a visa exemption? Or do you need a tourist visa?
  • I’ll be in Thailand (all over) for 26 days is enough time to get licensed to use a scooter there? Don’t want any police trouble I’ll be honest

Can you exchange the thai motorcycle license to a uk license? I see a potential loophole here.. 🧐
