U.S. Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle testified during a congressional hearing Monday about the agency’s failure to protect presidential nominee Donald Trump during a rally earlier this month. Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired multiple shots from a nearby rooftop, striking the former president in the ear and killing at least one civilian. Since the shooting, there have been multiple allegations of mismanagement. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber breaks down the top revelations from Cheatle’s testimony.

The fact that she says security was enough for an Iranian threat but was a failure to stop a 20yr old living at home and borrowing his dad's AR. Ridiculous.
  • @adamshelton3501
Every minute of this hearing was shocking. She provided no answers 9 days after the assassination attempt. Not even the most basic questions!! She should absolutely resign.
  • @Riclmnopp
Answers??? She didn’t answer a single question.
  • @Isaac_132
"Go back to guarding Dorito's." Best line ever.
  • @Wiggyman99
We pay her salary $280,000 a year for her to lie to us

I'm Australian and have worked in security going back to 2002. This kid would normally have been grabbed and detained in supposedly the hours leading up to and including when people questioned his reason for having a rangefinder. If there is a ZERO element of conspiracy here and this kid acted alone then WOW did so many people alow him through.

She doesn't know she's the patsy. She's protecting someone and they're throwing her under the bus.

Q: "Would you please state your name for the record" A: "I didn't bring that information with me..."
  • @Pcpguy
Getting a straight answer from these people is like asking a 4 year old if they stole the candy.

I'm just in shock. this isn't becoming more clear each day. it's the opposite of that.
  • @mdmoz1777
It's really disturbing that she refused to disclose how many spent shells were found on the roof. That would've indicated how many of the audio recorded 8 shots came from that roof.
  • No one wants to be the Secret Service Director right now except the Secret Service Director 😂😂😂
  • @LeeHoFooks
This is what happens at every congressional hearing.

"Go back to guarding Doritos" is diabolical. I love it!
  • She keeps saying it's only 9 days out, but that's not a tiny amount of time. If it took me 9 days to grade an exam, my students would have mobbed me.

The buck stops with her? I’m beginning to question that
