The new Aqara FP2 Presence Sensor is an absolute game changer for your smart home automations. The FP2 is a mm wave presence sensor that can detect even the smallest movements. No more false triggers! Plus it features zone configurations, fall detection, a light sensor and so much more.

*UPDATE*
The Aqara FP2 sensor already sold out on Amazon stores. It is expected to be back in stock in early May. Once it’s available to purchase, I will update this description with a new discount code (check back and follow me on my other social channels for updates!)

Great video, Shane. One of the telling aspects of the FP2 is how blown away even the heavy users of SmartHome products, such as yourself, have been with this sensor. I can’t wait to add a few of these to the house, especially in areas where the family never remembers to turn out lights!

This is the type of useful smart home tech I’m looking forward to. Gimmicky lights and things may look cool, but this is truly useful, (and potentially life saving with the fall detection.)

Glad I ordered one before they went available. Set it up yesterday and it is pretty impressive. Thanks for notifying me that it came out the other day!

Mine arrived this morning. After seeing your video I can't wait to get them setup! Thank you for another great video!

Mine arrived yesterday. This totally opens up some great new possibilities!
  • Thank you for another great video! I jumped on board as soon as I saw the release news and have been waiting for this for long time. I bought two on released day, and tried to get more next day after I tried it, but it was already sold out! I set it up in my basement where I had using the motion sensors in various areas before but it was never ideal given the activities in those areas. Now with presence sensor, I can finally control the lights in the way it should be! Great products! Just hoping it will be available again soon.

I am so glad I decided to wait until I move to stock up on sensors! I'm gonna have so much fun with these 😁
  • @QualityScrub
I was recently looking for something like this. Glad it’s a real thing! Can’t wait for the restock.

Fantastic overview/review Shane. I've been watching all the conversation about these new FP2 Sensors over the Channel Member's Discord Group. Very cool stuff. I almost grabbed one (actually had 2 in my Amazon cart) of the FP2 Sensors the day they released...but couldn't think of a specific use-case for my Home. So, I opted to wait until I can think of a good place, and proper Automations to use them for. Nonetheless. This thing sounds all sorts of cool. I'm anxious to see some creative uses that people come up with.
  • @ZBB8
Great video. Interesting to see this technology in commercial use.
  • @mmosbauer
Great video Shane. I have an Aqara indoor camera based off one your previous videos. I can see how this would be a great addition to any smart home and use for so many ways.
  • @randygreen007
Great information Shane! You’ve covered lots of details I’ve not seen in other posts.
  • I'm very excited to try it out. Up until now I've used Aqara P1 motion sensors throughout my house and they are very slow to trigger scenes. FP2 are all sold out on Amazon in EU but I found it somewhere else online and ordered two. Can't wait to to set up those zones and say goodbye to slow triggering and premature switching off :) great video btw 👍🏻 as always
  • @clemgr
    Thanks for the review Shane.
  • it's nice that it doesn't need the Aqara hub to work with homekit, and that once you've set up zones via the app, you can apparently delete the app, and the FP2 will continue working locally.
  • @Chesterflaps
It's very temperamental from my experience. Regularly not detecting people and detecting extra people to name 2
  • You are the first YouTube that has stated that you need to use a hub to trigger local automations. Good job!👍

Watch this device review n several programs. Automate Your Life and now yours. All are blown away with this one. Got my order in before they ran out. Thanks for the great review. This could add so much to our smart home
