It’s funny how sometimes a random drawing you made for laughs can turn into a saga and franchise that’ll last for generations to come

I was expecting to hear some facts about the 2003 and 2012 TV shows (especially after the thumbnail featured the 2012 Mikey), but no. There were facts mainly on the 80s show. I still wonder why it is considered "the best" of the three shows. Personally, I find the 2012 and especially the 2003 one way more interesting.

Another fact, April was based off of Eastman's girlfriend at the time who was Afro Latina so that's why she is black in the early mirage comics. Unfortunately the cartoon changed her and Baxter Stockman's ethnicity and April was a programming assistant under Stockman. Also met Peter Laird at 2008 NYCC who was was pretty awesome.

You also missed a fact that most know. The ooze that drops into the sewer in the first comic, comes from an identical truck to the one that crashes and blinds a young Matt Murdoch. But because TmnT is not a Marvel property, it was more of a homage
  • @xMellomii
You should have brought up more of the 2012 series. It brings up a lot from the original cartoon, comic and movies
  • @serimachan
Ok if you're going to do TMNT facts in general, please include the 2003 and the 2012 series. The 80's show was big, but if you're mostly going to talk about that version make it it's own 107 facts. You even used the 2012 Mikey for the icon! But other than that this was still interesting and fun.

Fun fact: April's Last name is of irish origin because the last name " O'Neil" is a irish last name.
  • Insane of the Membrane did not featured Shredder dismembering Stockman, that happened during the whole series. What got the episode banned was that the new body Stockman created for himself quickly started to decompose.
  • Whenever I go to punch/hit something I scream “BOOYAKASHA!” Or “GOONGALA!”

No love for TMNT 2012. Part 2 maybe?

One Marvel - Turtles connection you missed. The origin story in where the truck gets into the accident and the container of "ooze" flies off and smashes into the fish bowl containing the baby turtles (before knocking them into the sewer grate) was the same accident in where Daredevil lost his eyesight. Eastman and Laird (being the huge Marvel fans the were) stated that after striking Daredevil, the container then bounced off him, and then into the fishbowl containing the Turtles.

The Hand are from Daredevil, not Wolverine.
