Dearest Ruby: I can't remember when someone has documented something of this caliber in such extraordinary detail and clarity. We all know this was terribly traumatic for you, but thank you so much for sharing this journey with us. I am grateful you are safe, and that your home did not receive any more damage than it did. May God bless and comfort you and your community as you rebuild your lives. Continued prayers for you all.

This is truly devastating. You did an excellent job with this footage and giving those of us who are land locked an idea of what it is like to experience a hurricane. I was getting nervous just watching your video. Iโm very sorry your community has taken such a hit. Best of luck in moving forward and recovery efforts
-
So anxious watching this. Hearing it, yet again. Ian seemed to have lasted forever. Thank you so much for this video. You calmly took us through Ian. I am glad you and yours are ok.
-
In spite of the traumatizing experience, you have managed to narrate this very well; you should consider reading audiobooks as a side gig. Very well done. Thank you for this comprehensive overview of what it is like to endure a hurricane. As a fellow Floridian, I too have been through this situation more times than I'd like to admit. Best wishes.
-
As a fellow Floridian I also appreciate the great true coverage of Ian. No personal agenda just true footage and clear narration. Praying for all those affected, I have family in Lee high. God bless you.

Fellow Cape Coral neighbor here... glad you all are safe ๐ โค๏ธ . We just got power back yesterday in our section. This was my first hurricane to experience and I can't believe the damage this one has caused. A good reminder to us all to help our neighbors and friends in this time of need and thankful for our health.
-
What a video you've produced . Never saw anything done like this . Thank you and I'm sorry for your troubles .
-
Ruby... you do a stellar job reporting what you see and what has happened... far better than nearly all news teams on TV... you have a great voice for it and just calmly and steadily. with no drama go through your area....
-
What a marvelous chronicle for those of us who have never experienced a hurricane in their entire lives. I am from San Diego, California, home of the most temperate climate in the nation. My prayers are being sent for you as you recover from this horrific hurricane.
-
This was the longest Hurricane Iโve ever experienced in 24 years of living in the cape. Your home is absolutely beautiful and thankfully you and your family are safe.
-
Even now I watch this and I'm Amazed. This is a really well documented video and thank you
-
Thank you for this documentary. It is an valuable record that few people would otherwise experience. In addition to the effort this video took to make & translate, you also did it like a pro. ๐ค๐๐๐

One of the best Ian videos I've seen so far! No hype, just factual event recording. I'm glad you, your family and your home were spared from the fully wrath of this hurricane. All the best to you.

So sad to see what has happened to your beautiful city. As I type this, my husband is in Puerto Rico helping hurricane victims. I donโt usually comment on YouTube videos. However, you did such an amazing job of documenting the hurricane and the aftermath. This is so much better than anything I have seen the from the news or other Youtubers. You really helped me to understand how great the devastation was and still is. Great job. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป

Ruby, what a sweet and calming voice you have. Thank you for your video. I was near Wiggins Pass in a condo during Ian. We are on the 1st floor and the Gulf came up 5 steps within 1โ of our front door. We were very blessed to only lose two cars. There was such devastation only a quarter of a mile away. As you know, much of SW Florida is still recovering a year and a half later. I am glad you made it through and didnโt lose your home. โค๐๐๐โค

Wow. I lived in Cape Coral for 20yrs, left in 2013. This storm was Charley's ghost, coming back to NOT jog north by 15 miles. Smh, the absolute worst is the aftermath...as you can see, it is truly devastating. Thank you for sharing this! I was with you all in spirit, as my daughter (who moved to Miami) and I were texting as we tracked and watched it all happen. ๐๐ช๐
-
You did a awesome job showing folks that these storms are not a joke.glad you and your family are safe.

Thank you so much for recording this tragic event. I have a dear friend that lives at an elevation of about 20' in Cape Coral who is emotionally fragile and this has been so difficult for her. She hasn't even been able to talk about the experience. She was also expecting a cat 3 event. It's her first hurricane. My heart hurts for all those whose homes and property have been damaged. I'm glad you're ok. โค๏ธ

SWFL resident here and the one thing I will always remember about Ian was the howling of the wind. Iโve personally never heard that wind howl like that before during any other hurricane. Excellent video by the way.

๐ฎ greetings from coastal Mississippi. Thanks for sharing this with us. I survived Hurricane Katrina,as well as, my plantation Twelve Oaks. It has taken the coast nearly 20 years to recover. Stay blessed
