In my eyes, K. Rool in this game was one of the greatest last levels of all time. You pretty much use every single thing you have learned in the entire game to beat him. It was just a very well put together finale.

I like how Rare's boss battles were always so intimidating and cinematic. Something that was hard to accomplish with previous hardware.

The hardest boss in this game is the camera angle

Nintendo and Rare will FOREVER be my favorite duo in gaming history. The magic and style they had in all their games throughout the 90's and early 2000's will never be able to be matched to me. I would KILL for a reunion of some sort and get another Banjo or Donkey Kong out of them, that Microsoft deal still makes my heart hurt haha. Come back home Rare. We miss you.

its funny how i just realised that the bosses in this game had a comical nature to them but back in the day i just found them terrifying xD

the entire concept of the king kut out is hilarious, especially after a sinister stage like creepy castle

For those that didn't know, when you're fighting mad jack, you can fly diagonally over the platforms
  • This look so easy but i remember when i cry of frustration after losing 9000 times versus king kut out

Childhood memories. Mad Jack was my favorite evil boss character. He did, not going lie scared me but that what made him so memorable for me because I love scary things as a child
  • @comettamer
These were some of the finest boss battles to ever come out of the 64 bit era, and Mad Jack to this day remains the toughest boss battle ive ever faced.

King Kutout was basically Nintendo thinking "Hmmmm what should we put for Creepy Castle's boss? A ghost? Nah thats cliché...." "Oh I have an idea boss! How about a giant cut-out of King K. Rool? It's pretty spooky" "And lasers!! Kids like lasers nowadays!" "Great idea! Johnson, you're promoted! Now go people, make me a cut-out boss fight! Go go go!"
  • @sysvjbjr
Amusing how Tiny isn't scared shitless of Mad Jack, who is wayyyyyyy creepier than Dogadon, who scares the shit out of both Diddy and Chunky.

I remember Pufftoss and Dogadon rematch being some of the absolutely hardest bosses of the game for me. Pufftoss was very anxiety inducing with the limited visibility and the time limits on the star hoops, and the Dagadon rematch was really scary for me because of him trying to take down the battle field into the lava, which would be an instant death.

Mad Jack and King Kut Out looks so simple now, i cried the tears of a million rivers back then...
  • This game was so scary, fun, exciting and difficult as a kid... And the graphics were amazing. Never beat the last boss, cause i couldn't figure out how to get in the tower 😐
