What he did with Bladerunner was nothing short of a miracle. Well done.

Denis is currently my favorite Director. Really a master. I'm glad he moved from documentary to cinema. Just wow.
-
This interview really proves Dune is in perfect hands.
-
He directed every single scene beautifully. He is the genius at his craft from Prisoners to Sicario to Arrival and finally Blade Runner 2049.. the best director of our generation next to Nolan.
-
I really hope that the box office "failure" of 2049 hasn't effected him negatively in any way. The top filmmaker of this generation, history will be extremely kind to this man and his films.
-
You did well Denis. BR 2049 was wonderful. It might be an absolute masterpiece of cinema. Looking forward to your next film.

“It’s worth the risk artistically. It’s such a big challenge but such a beautiful one.” Awesome quote

He killed it in Blade Runner 2049
-
The most humble person i've ever seen. Must be a great experience for the storyboard artist to spent time creating things with him.
-
Sicario, Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 are 3 of my most favorite films. Kudos to Denis.
-
Every now and again a director comes along who really shakes things up, up ends the norms and gives us a new generation of cinema. This is that director.
-

-
I just can’t wait to see his interpretation of Dune.

Denis Villeneuve is the greatest director today. I will always live with the guilt of not watching Blade Runner 2049 on the big screen, that movie has seeped into my soul. Will make it up with Dune no matter what. Eagerly waiting for the journey to Arrakis.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT: I watched this last night, I went in dry having not watched ANY of the trailers or interviews and I am super-fan of the original. All I can say is BRAVO, it was a masterpiece, and I was so nervous that it would be a CGI overload but in truth I didn't see any, which in my opinion means there was just the right amount. Such sparing use of the tools that are at hand today. I wish I had seen this on the cinema, because even last night watching this on my modest TV but with the 5:1 turned up to 11 the sense of scale was breathtaking, and the soundscape had me welling up in all the right places, BRAVO. A thought-provoking perfect compliment to the original which I felt deeply moving which I was not expecting at all. Flawless performances all round, but when Harrison Ford said "Not really" , I went cold and welled up like a baby... For me that was the best delivery of any two words I have seen in cinema. A beautiful masterpiece. I would love to know what Sir Ridley Scott thinks about his beautiful baby?
