"Modulor I - Sea" is the result of an early adventure into the realm of audio production, originally fulfilling the function of my capstone project at Concordia University. The motivation behind it was to combine improvised instrumental music with elements of electronic music, wrapped in a lo-fi aesthetic.

Self-produced in times of pandemic, it reflected upon the reality of being a performing musician during lockdown and the necessities of adapting to an increasingly remote world and of an ever more self-sufficient workflow.

"Modulor" premiered live on YouTube on April 30 2021, performed solo from my living room to an audience spread out across two continents.

The sea theme derived from the idea of wave and some of its possible different interpretations: as a reference to audio production - being the commonplace representation of an audio signal - and as something in permanent shift - hinting at the constant modulation from major to minor key present in the compositions and at the changes pushed by the ordeal being lived.

This work is expected to be the first of a trilogy, the next two releases focusing on Land and Sky. No release date is known so far.
