The Harry and Ginny love story is a long and sometimes unpredictable one. There were definitely some possibilities as to who Harry could end up with, so why is it that Ginny wound up being the one Harry spent his love with? Well, the fact that she was a constant companion to him was definitely a big contributor. She wasn’t a big presence in his life from the get go, but she’d always been there as a supporter, even before they grew as close as they did. Let’s not forget the fact that the two did share one very unique and special connection - the fact that they had both experienced being possessed by Voldemort. The two of them shared this intense and profound experience, it’s not hard to believe they would be special to each other for the rest of their lives. We also have to acknowledge the fact that Ginny was a great match for Harry because she was so strong and independent herself. She was equipped to take on being with a man who carried such a heavy past and intense life experience. She was also strong enough to stand up to Harry and tell him what was what.
How about the possibility that the Boy Who Lived wound up with Cho Chang or Hermione Granger? Well, there are a few reasons we’ll cover as to why neither woman was the right match for him.Once we’re done, it will be obvious that Ginny was the perfect one for Harry.

Who did you ship Harry Potter with?

Ginny from the books is the female version of Fred and George's sense of humor, Hermione's intelligence, and Ron's loyalty that means something to Harry

The Weasleys must mean a lot to Harry. Mrs. Weasley is like a second mother, Ron is his best friend, and Ginny is his wife.

The movies didn't give justice to Ginny but in the book Ginny is awesome and you can tell why they ended up together.

Ginny also has some similarities to Harry’s mother Lily, and not just the red hair. Lily was said to champion the downtrodden, and movie Lupin said Lily could see the beauty in others when they could not see it in themselves. Ginny did that to an extent as well. She was friends with Luna and Neville when they were social outcasts. It is often said that people are attracted to those similar to their opposite gender parent. Whether Harry was similar to Arthur Weasley I do not know.

The thing that Harry liked the most was that Ginny rarely cried. She was very strong. And considering that Harry is not very good with emotions, Ginny was a very good fit for Harry. ❤️

I read the books before seeing the movies, so Ginny was my choice from the beginning. I’m so glad someone has written nice things about her.
  • In the books Harry and Hermione actually call the other there sibling. In fact their relationship in the books is very much a brother and sister.

One other way they connected that you didnt mention from the books, is there are quite a few moments that Ginny and Harry share the same sense of humor, and with either a small look or laugh between themselves at something Hermione did not find funny.

Ginny and Harry may not be the most iconic couple to spawn from Harry Potter but there are still some interesting points about their paring.

I am a strong Hinny shipper ever since the very beginning of the series, and it sometimes irks me that there are people who want to degrade and bash Ginny, just because of the movie version; firstly, Bonnie Wright was the perfect choice to play Ginny, but the movies didn’t give Ginny the proper character development that she got in the book. That’s why if someone asked me to make a choice between Book Ginny vs Movie Ginny, I’ll choose Book Ginny 100%, all the way
  • I mean, Harry third-wheeled for 7 years, there was no way he'd snatch Hermione at the end

I liked their relationship better in the books better Because you didn’t really see Ginnys character grow and not have her whole world revolve around Harry but that kids just happens in the movies but yes they should have ended up together

Ginny feels like a subtle character & I think Harry liked that
  • I love Hinny in the books❤️ In the movies there’s not enough couple development, just some awkward scenes of Ginny having a crush on Harry and movie Ginny is out of character anyway. She’s awkward and shy in the movies and doesn’t really have any purpose expect liking Harry. The only scene I liked her in was when she yelled ”SHUT UP” because that showed a bit of her personality in the books: bold, loud and outgoing. What I also disliked is how they didn’t put the first kiss of Harry and Ginny in the movies. The kiss that happened after the Quidditch match when Ginny ran to hug Harry and Harry kissed her in front of everyone. While I understand why people say that in the movies Harry and Hermione together would make more sense than Hinny, I personally only see them as friends.

3:18 : “Harry needed to go after Voldemort Captions: “Harry need to go after Baltimore” 😂😂
  • You forget for like two books he only liked Cho Chang. Always went wiffy when she walked by. It wasn't until Ginny stopped orbiting him in book 4 and dated Dean Thomas and some other kid that Harry took notice of her, she was 10 when they met yknow so he wasn't exactly imprinting on her like Jacob and Renesme that creepy as hell pairing

The movie made Ginny Weasley so awkward.. Hinny is much better in the books, same with Romione
