Fun fact: as you may have noticed, the first opening has a constant theme of comic panels coming to life in many scenes. Since the JoJo manga started in 1987 and the anime came out 25 years later in 2012, this was basically them saying "yes, it's actually happening, JoJo is finally getting an anime" to all the fans lol

To answer your question on what inspired the style of all of the characters, the answer is literally fashion magazines and roman sculptures. These are the author's favorite source material. A ton of the poses the characters make are 1:1 with fashion ads, and you can find the comparisons here on youtube if you like, they don't really spoil anything.

To answer when you said "why are all these characters beautiful", the author himself has said that the reason why he makea poses and fashion for his male characters is to show the beauty of masculinity. And that people don't appreciate enough how beautiful men really are.

The fact that he managed to understand Bites The Dust from seeing that loop section with Rohan shows this dude has the skills to interpret an opening. Always a nice time seeing someone react to the crazyness of Jojo.

Also, to answer your question who is JoJo. Each season effectively starts out with a new protagonist or JoJo so to speak. Usually they’re related to either the previous JoJo or a JoJo before that, it gets a little confusing and convoluted and bizarre but like that’s the whole point so we roll with it

45:41 the jojo creator, Araki, is a HUGE fan of fashion, and thus all his characters have insane designs. He's also huge on western music, which is why alot of the characters and abilities in the show are named after bands, artists, albums, etc. fun fact as well, street fighters art style was inspired by jojo.

My favourite part of the video is when you propose a CORRECT answer to a question the intros pose and say "that's a good idea". Like, YES!! You're getting exactly that in the show! And it's exciting when you get things right, even if small ones

48:00 The variant of Heaven's Falling Down -- especially the part where it shows the first 6 JoJos all together -- always makes me choke up a little bit
