I love seeing the whole gang working together and being pals. I hate it when they show Mario being abusive is fan animations, but here he’s being a great bro, and treating his friends with kindness. It’s like the canon Mario!!

I love how Yoshi is treated like a character in this animation and not just like a power up like if he was actually capable of dealing with stuff himself

This is pretty much always imagined for the canon Nintendo characters to act, outside of the player’s view. I always hated how the fandom claimed Mario was abusive for dumb little reasons. But here, he is shown to be just like the canon heroes we all grown to love.

Imagine an ep where we saw "a day in the life of bowser" where he has nothing but issues with raising his kids, someone crashes the koopa copter, firing of bullet bills leads to nightly noise complaints, one of the kids is using turtle shells like golf balls an knocking out windows, etc

I feel bad for the red Koopa. Couldn't avenge his friends and comrades wouldn't accept help. I also saw red Koopas as the "fire" ones, so I figured they could survive in lava.

I was absolutely not expecting this wholesome co-op mario world story to have a Power Star-esque fight scene in it. Wow.
