The 14th video in this series is Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, where I've put together as many Easter eggs, references, and anything you might not have known, even decades later.

I've searched the internet and played through the entire game to validate each one the best I could. I can't take credit for a lot of these, I merely pooled together as many Easter Eggs into one video. Some entries may not be classed as anything of the above, but were included as a Point of Interest.

  • Man, I could have watched hours more of this! I genuinely did not know most of these. There is so much personality in every corner of this game.

AoD is a huge missed opportunity. There is a lot more into this game, like unused tutorial, unused locations and so on. I bet there would be more references in Such locations. Such a shame it all went bad. Since you could unlock some early AoD art in TRC, this means so much bad stuff happened in between 2000 and 2003. Its also a very controversial opinion, but imo AoD (or TR6) is in my opinion the last Tomb Raider. Sure, TR7 and Underworld still follow the Lara story, but already had changed too much imo. Basically I was ready for a jump from TR5 into next-gen TR6, but wasnt ready for the jump into TR7. Not to mention I would probably never accept the reboot. Fortunately old games are still alive thanks to TRLE. A home to many great TR Fan releases.

I remember finding this game super creepy when I played it first, and quite glitchy as well!
  • 2003 is the most importnat year of gaming for me, I started collecting gaming magazines then and started getting knowledge about our industry. Freedom Fighter, Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness, Lionheart, SIllent Hill 3...
  • Yay! Im your 1000th subscription, cheers mate! Great work amd video
  • Idc what anyone says, this was the most interesting tomb raider story wise and really pulled you in

When you showed the Lara/Kurtis Louvre scene at the end it reminded me that if you play the game at 16:9 (or any widescreen) you'll see that Kurtis "enters" the scene behind Lara by coming out of the damn wall.

I love this game no matter what anyone says. This game would also have been outstanding if the team had been given more time to develop it, but greed got in the way
  • All these times I’ve played I never really paid attention to things like posters and shops. Wow. Bravo! Keep it up!

Cool video dude. :) I still need to finish TR1. It scared me as a child and I started playing it on a trip a few years back but never finished it before the trip was over.
  • Great video! I knew some of them but there were also a few new ones for me. Would love to see the section of Prague too, as there are some references to Sumerian/Assyrian culture in the Strahov as well. 🥰
