  • A pretty good list, but I wouldn't put the Georgia Tech blocked FG on this list by any means. I'd replace that with Peyton Manning to Joey Kent on Play #1 against Alabama, 1995

My dad and I were at the Arkansas game. Gives me chills every time I watch it. RIP dad! Thanks for giving me orange blood!

My wife and I were at the Florida game where Wilhoit went from goat to hero. I've never heard stadium get so loud so quick. And I've been to quite a few Kansas City Chiefs games. There was an older lady probably in her seventies sitting next to us. After the win, she started jumping up-and-down. I turned to her, picked her up and started jumping up-and-down myself. It was a great moment.

Really enjoyed watching this video. It’s worth the time John Ward the greatest broadcaster ever , good to see our friend from Huntland, Tennessee Johnny Majors, lots of Philip, who was from Winchester, Tennessee, Huntland, Tennessee, and Winchester, are 10 miles apart in Franklin County two plays I was looking for looking for that wasn’t there was Peyton’s pass the Joey Kent at Alabama first play of the game, Peyton’s naked bootleg against Alabama the vols were used to be so good, now we are on our way back. Beware SEC.
  • I was at every 98 home game that year, and was so excited as a kid to watch my favorite team go 13-0! When we won against Arkansas, and Florida! That stadium blew up! Especially against Florida. That goal came down quick!!

I love hearing John Ward call a game. He was a true Vol for life and there will never be another like him.

Being a 21 Year old Tennessee fan, the best moment I remember was the Georgia Hail Mary, and I feel like that’s the closest I’ve ever been to a heart attack
  • That Arkansas game still brings a tear to my eye, absolutely amazing, when you win a championship there is always a moment like this unless it’s 2020 and you’re ohiostste and you can win 6 games and make the national championship
  • I remember the LSU game in 2005. I was in high school, and the game was on a Monday night. The next day everyone at school was half asleep. We were supposed to have a couple of tests that day, and the teachers cancelled them. One teacher let us take a nap. It's great to grow up in East Tennessee.

Here are some additions to this list: 1982 TN vs AL game 1986 Sugar Bowl 1985 AU and UCLA games 1988 Sugar Bowl (Amsler) 1989 AU game in the rain (Cobb’s run) Games when Chuck Webb and Tony Thompsom played 1990 Colorado game
  • I've been a Vol fan all of my life and watched nearly every game, and there was NOTHING like Cooper Collins missing the FG in the '98 Florida game. Nothing. The pandemonium and noise was indescribable.
  • @adambum28
Man I'm hoping we can see greatness like this again soon, it's been too long. Go vols!!
  • @Galilee1964
I can't believe that there are no plays against Alabama on this list. I like the Joey Kent comment below, but my favorite has to be the Mike Terry Interception against #2 Alabama in 1982. That was my Freshman year and broke an 11 game losing streak to the Crimson Tide.

My family and I were at the Tennessee Arkansas game in '98. We decided to leave when TN was down 21 - 3, thinking there's NO way they'll come back. We were outside of Neyland heading back to our car when we heard the crowd roar, beginning TN's comeback. Listened to the comeback on the radio. Biggest mistake ever leaving that game. Shoutout to Tee Martin for giving TN something Peyton couldn't, a National Championship.
  • As a Tennessee fan, I sadly say that I saw greater before I saw that Arkansas game so seeing Brandon burlsworth push al Wilson out of bounds makes me shed a single tear, then watching the fumble makes me proud to be a Tennessee fan.

Love it!! Appreciate you putting some awesome memories together for Vol Nation.
  • @Barrythevol
Decent list, but there are so many plays that should be way ahead of many of these choices that all happened prior to 1991.

So, just to let y'all all know, these plays are all from the last 30 years. UT has been playing football since the turn of the 20th century. There's a LOT of truly amazing plays left off of this list. Not knocking whoever made the video because it's not horrible, just need to maybe re-title it "Best of Last 30 ish years." What's great for me is that I was there for every one of the home moments and was in Athens when Juan Jennings caught that Hail Mary
