COLOR BLAST Returns in GEARS 5? My thoughts on THE NEW DAY SKINS in OPERATION 5 (GEARS 5 x WWE)

Another point which I forgot to mention is that some of the community sees this as resources taken away from creating skins and characters that actually belong in the Gears universe. Hopefully now that these are finished and released we'll see more characters like Hoffman, Prescott, Valera, Sofia, Alex Brand, Carlos Santiago, etc etc.

I think the most valid argument against this is that it's wasted time and resources, that could have been better spent adding more in universe characters that we're still missing or don't have a large number of skins for, Alex Brand, Anya skins, any of the missing Locust, Gears 3 Marcus? The Gears 2 lancer skin, Marcus' Gears 4 lancer, more work on maps or even tuning the game. Or adding more old weapons that didn't make it back like the Booshka, Breechshot etc etc

I think the reveal trailer was the problem. As someone who not into WWE I'll be looking at it as an outsider. But the new day seems to be about spreading positivity, hence the colorful armor to match their actual attire in the ring. The coalition are doing their best to represent these people right and the WWE is also promoting gears on their end with merch. (Which makes me kinda excited to see how they will represent gears.) Overall people really shouldn't be mad at the thought of bright new skins breaking the aesthetic or immersion. Instead embrace the idea of new potential fans to train into a gears players.

They need to be very careful adding these types of skins. This can drown out the core aesthetic of what gears is

I’m not gonna make a valid point but I like their colours and tbh we had the same colour thing in gears 4 it doesn’t bother me as much...like some things I agree with, some things I don’t but either way. I like the fact that different characters are coming in...also a lot of opportunities for different games as well as the characters from the gears universe.( would like Alicia Valera to come back though).

I was a massive wwe fan before I found out about gears.

These skins are goofy but it would be nice to have these characters in regular cog armor or some variant of it like cole or claytons armor. If people want to be colorful let them if you don’t then don’t use them. I can see why fans would be mad because TC invests its resources into content that no one cares about instead of giving people what they want.

The fact that you cant earn or buy these skins without real cash is sad. I was happy to hop on and earn these skins just to find out it costs 20 bucks

When I first saw it yesterday I was kinda mixed because of the look of their armors and how they were presented in the trailer but introducing new characters ain't too bad. Though I would prefer they atleast make them look well serious.

there are some games that don’t need guest characters gears is one of them when it comes to like wwe characters it’s just a out of place killer mike and el-p were executed perfectly this is just, it looks meant for another game

Pete! Those skins have the plus that you can get them with the GP, and not only purchasing them with money like the RTJ back on GoW4. Also, maybe are an existing skin with different colours, the faces and some lines, while the RTJ used to be Commando Dom with a pair of Rayban's and Young Cole with beard. I think that would be a cool option tho if people prefer traditional. They’ll be able to like make the colors just be a cog gear kinda armor would probs fix the rift between the two sides
