It's amazing to think Celts and Italics aren't just culturally and genetically related, but also linguistically, to the point many modern linguists like to put them into a same language branch, the "Italo-Celtic languages". The Romans and the Gaulish were actually cousins, despite killing each other lol

the mitanni always remind me of the trial version of Age of Empires, in which you play as the Hittites and your enemies are the Mitanni. Thanks to that game and a few books within my reach I developed a keen interest in ancient civilizations from like the first grade in school!
