This game was there for me when I lost my mother I used to go to a arcade nd the lady was the owner knew my mom nd she used to let me play for free nd I used to have this song stocked in my head on for hours this was roughly 17yrs ago still hits the feels

Unlike most X6 songs which give me an adrenaline rush, this one just gets me all sentimental. It reminds me of simpler times, and makes me question where it all went wrong... until I get crushed by an ice block anyway.

This reminds me of being poor and alone one week before Christmas while family members are in an out of the hospital. The game wasn't mine and I don't know how I got it in the first place but it kept me together during those dark times. Sure could use it right about now.

For me the melancholic theme represents the tragic figure of the Stage Boss, Blizzard Wolfgang. He has a depressing story, being blamed a crime he didnt commit and labeled as a "maverick".

Hearing this and the memories comes rushing back to me. Particularly that Nightmare where a ghost X/Zero continually hounds you while you're timing your jumps across a chasm with those ice slides.
