Fixing a GE Microwave, I keep calling the transformer the capacitor, please ignore that. I ended up replacing the magnetron. It was an easy fix. I got lucky. So the end of the video is a little convoluted. For whatever reason the sound went out on a bunch of segments so I had to delete those. That would be me taking out the magnetron the diode and the fan TCO.

Hi John, I’m facing the same project for possibly the 4th time. I’ve replaced fuses mostly but now I’m facing what just may be the magnetron. I’m thinking of replacing other components like the two door switches while the unit is sitting on my dining room table. Where did you buy the Magnetron? Btw, great video!!!!
  • have you had any issues with the microwave touchpad? I have the same wall oven/microwave and 1 min botton does not work very often, the rest work fine.

Hello John, Where did you get the microtone? I have a similar microwave oven combo built-in wall, and the microwave is not heating. The problem is I cannot find the Microtrone of my model, JTP86SOH4SS.
