As a gamer I can confirm that I regularly get possessed by satan himself and do unspeakable acts every time I hop on animal crossing.

As a young kid, I played a Kirby game as my first game, many years ago. I have been a mass murderer ever since.

As someone who's been a Christian for the entirety of his life I'm beginning to understand why some people become Atheists
  • I remember being younger and ask my sweet Irish mother can you get me Doom for Christmas. She said no because it sounds evil. I told her, no you have to destroy evil demons and send them back to Hell. She bought me all the games.

"Jazz is evil." "Rock is evil." "Comics aren't real literature." "Metal is evil." "D&D is evil." "Rap is evil." "Video games are evil." "Anime is evil." I've heard this song and dance all my life, these nutjobs have always reached for a "moral" stance against certain hobbies and interests. You can believe in God and still have interests these people think is wrong. Edit: Time had a 1920's article slandering jazz and the black community. Jazz inspired Rock, which influenced Metal...

"Make church fun to go" I have seen sermons from a Buddhist temple in Japan and they have laser light shows during the chants and it's mesmerizing.

I love how he says "having kids out of wedlock" as one of the side effects of anime, like homie am I in love with my body pillow or am I slaying too much pussy because you can't have it both ways.

I was banned from gaming growing up, literally nothing stopped me. My mother was one of these types, my father didn’t agree but went along with whatever she wanted because he was too exhausted to do otherwise. By the time I was in my teens, I had guys I’d buy games from used when they were done with them. My father secretly bought my brothers and I halo 3 ODST and helped convince our mother to let us get a used Xbox for Netflix streaming lmao. RIP dad, you were the best

Everytime I see this pop up, it's just sad. The worst part is, there's a good chance someone went home, took his insanity to heart, and destroyed their kids video games.

"Videogames make you violent" The anti gamer: freaking violently bashes the crap out of a console with a baseball bat

As a gamer I can confirm that I’m always causing demons to get loose into our mortal realm by playing Super Mario Bros.

As someone who grew up fundamentalist Christian (now non religious), I knew a lot of people who genuinely thought this way. My own parents hated my interest in video games and anime/manga, and went so far as to claim that watching anime opens “demon portals” and invites evil entities into the room. They were far from the only people in the community who thought like that too. Made growing up a nightmare, I learned how to lie and hide all my interests and think they’re lame even to this day because all the adults around me saw all the things I enjoyed as evil. Watching this guy preach his sermon kinda gave me chills.

Meanwhile at my church youth group we had multiple gaming systems and TVs so we could have 100+ kids playing tournaments against eachother 🤣
  • @BenMarcWilliams
"Video games are so fun, they make church boring." Sounds like a skill issue, TBH.

Mans lost one too many games of Fortnite and is blaming the devil. This a new level of gamer rage I don't think any of us could have imagined

Back when I lived in Germany as a kid, when Yu-Gi-Oh! first came out most lads in school dueled every lunch break. The teachers literally banded together and got all the parents together to try and bring out the message that Yu-Gi-Oh! is a thing of the devil and that it is corrupting the children. The majority of parents, including my single working mother, told em to take a hike xD
