Ex-drug-trafficker Pieter Tritton rates eight trafficking scenes from movies and television for realism.

He discusses the accuracy of drug-trafficking methods depicted in "Narcos" S1E1 (2015), featuring Pedro Pascal; "American Made" (2017), starring Tom Cruise; and "Breaking Bad" S3E9 (2010), with Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Giancarlo Esposito. He also comments on drug-detection methods in "Blow" (2001), starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz; "Miss Bala" (2019), starring Gina Rodriguez; and "Sons of Anarchy" S4E7 (2011), with Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman. Tritton analyzes the human impact of drug smuggling in "Maria Full of Grace" (2004) and "El Chapo" S1E1 (2017).

Tritton began his journey as a small-time drug dealer in the UK, but eventually his operation supplied many major dealers in the UK. He then began importing cocaine from Ecuador to Europe through a cartel connection. Tritton was arrested in Ecuador and sentenced to 12 years in one of the world's most violent and corrupt prisons.

Tritton now works as a public speaker on the dangers of drugs.

“This is 100% realistic, I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes. I’ll give it a 7/10”
  • @celsotavora
The sheer calm of a wise man. He knows what he’s talking about.
  • @phanatic215
Posh Pete was on a few podcasts and told his story as a drug trafficker. It's so insane. Those South American jails are no freaking joke.
  • Whoever selects the experts for this, and whoever does the filmography for this series, does fantastic work. Most 'experts' make my skin crawl at how bad they are. This channel is outstanding. Thanks.
  • @imalonelyman
You can just see the awful things he’s seen and be a part of through his eyes
  • @poetagris2001
As a Colombian living in the US the f... Stigma of narcos is insane. And every time I knew someone that brought up the conversation topic as something "cool" makes my blood boil. This guy's right there's nothing fancy or glamorous about the drug trafficking
  • @Chatterbox-94
You can tell even now as he breaks down these scenes and explains the details he’s dealing with PTSD from his own trafficking experience
  • @Mattnoble80
I am an addict in recovery, thought I was always buying cocaine until I started having the drug sick symptoms. Finally I overdosed and they ran a toxin check. It was being cut with fentanyl. Been clean and sober for year now
  • @cdeezy2718
By how he wrapped it up at the end made me realize something..sitting there recapping ridiculous reinactments of people doing what got you 10 years in prison would give you major ptsd vibes
  • He seems like such a calm guy, probably a good trait to deal with the great stress of smuggling
  • “I don’t want to tell people exactly how they make cocaine…” You disappoint me good sir.
  • @sliceout9040
When I saw this guy I was like holy moley he looks like he's seen some things. "I've been imprisoned in Ecuador for 10 years for trafficking cocaine." Understandable, have a great day.
  • As someone who used to be a dealer and has been arrested twice for trafficking I can tell you there’s NOTHING glamorous about it! You either end up dead or in prison if you stay it that lifestyle!
  • @carsilk2492
I think I’m more impressed that he survived 10 years in South American prison
  • @dengueberries
I absolutely LOVE this series. If there were enough videos to go around I would never watch any other videos on Youtube. They're just so fascinating and exciting and real.
  • I really love listening to Pete talk, he's so interesting and has certainly had some pretty insane experiences
  • @LeaveNow.
"My personal experiences were portrayed really well in Narcos" "Oh, you were a DEA agent" "DEA agent?"
  • Man, we are getting closer and closer to actually doing the "Ex-Serial Murderer Breaks Down 10 Murder Scenes in Movies and TV" meme with these expert reviews eh?
  • @sgtsongbird
I recently learned that my mom used to date a guy who flew Cessnas full of cocaine for Carlos Lehder back in the 80s. She obviously didn't want to tell me too much about it, so videos like this are great because they help me understand some of what she lived through and what it would've been like for her. Thanks for sharing your story, Pete

I loved his "for the feds to get a bust this big, something must have gone wrong" pause..... "oh for the Cartel that is"
