Yeah, the moment I heard this mashup I wanted to make something involving Deceit and the other, unrevealed dark sides. And it ended up being a 3 minute animation, so, uhh, you're welcome?
Anyway, the plot of this animation goes something like this: All of the light sides (including Virgil) feel flawed in some way, and want to remedy that. Patton feels like he can't control his emotions, especially the negative ones. Logan is upset that he even has emotions in the first place. Roman feels insecure and hates it. And Virgil feels like the others haven't respected him as much ever since he stopped being the villain in their eyes.
So each one individually seeks out Deceit and the other dark sides (Orange and Green, who I purposely kept vague since we haven't met them yet. In my head they're Ignorance and Envy, but you can choose whatever since it doesn't affect the story.) to make a deal. They all ask for help in fixing their aforementioned dilemmas. But since it's not the best idea to ask the embodiment of deception for help, the lights sides all end up corrupted, changed into a dark side of their own. Patton becomes Naïvete to escape feeling bad. Logan becomes Apathy so he can escape feeling entirely. Roman becomes Pride to protect his bruised ego. And Virgil becomes Paranoia so he no longer has to worry about the other sides not fearing him.
Of course, with everyone changed like this, they no longer have the beautiful fam-ILY that they had before, thus how they got what they wanted, but lost what they had.

"You got what you wanted," Logan wanted to hide his emotions, Virgil wanted to smile more, Patton wanted to be happy, And roman wanted to be royalty "But you lost what you had!" Logan became a robot and lost his human qualitys and emotions, Virgil couldn't stop smiling and went insane, Patton became happy and lost all his other emotions, And roman became a evil kind instead of the prince that saved everyone. They all wanted something better, But they lost the things that made them themselves. They got what they wanted, But they lost what they had!

It feels like Paton went from “morality” and “childhood innocence” to “blind optimism” and “detachment from reality.” Roman clearly turned into the Duke, which is interesting in the light of recent videos. Logan went from “logic” and “work ethic” to “detachment from imagination” and “psychopathy” Virgil went from “caution” and hits of full anxiety to “paranoia” and “hyper-vigilance” They’re all extremes of their original personalities.

Patton: Wanted to be happy forever. Logan: Wanted to lose all emotions. Roman: Wanted to be either perfect or complete. Virgil: Wanted his friends back, but deceit changed it to be his old friends, not the ones he wanted. Sorry if this isn’t right.

Deceit: Sit down at my table. Patton: sits down, a tad bit nervous Um... okay? Deceit: Put your mind at ease. Logan: How dare you. Deceit: If you relax, it will enable me... Roman: takes a deep breath (i.e. actually follows instructions) Deceit: ...to do anything I please. Virgil: That- that doesn't help!

JESUS CHRIST Logan wanted to show no emotions So he became a robot and lost all feeling Patton just wanted to be happy So he became nothing more and lost his demensions Virgil wanted to smile more for them So he became a smiling mess and lost his sense Roman wanted to be the absolute star, important So he became a king of darkness and lost the light he shone with. Edit: okay so I saw one or two replies/comments about how it's explained in the description; I just wanna say that these were my interpretations and that over the course of ten months how I see things have changed based on newer content and better understandings of the characters Also, all of you have valid points!! My new personal interpretations; Logan wanted to be taken seriously So his emotions were shut down because what could be more embarrassing than how complicated icky feelings may make someone act Patton wanted everything to be okay So he was given a permanent smile as all negative feelings were bottled up and stored away, never to see the light of day Virgil wanted acceptance while still functioning as he should So Janus turned him back into paranoia; Virgil never specified which sides he wanted to be accepted by after all Roman wanted to get everything he deserved, he wanted to be listened to and to be right So he became a narcissistic, self centered king who's pride would be the death of him
