"I'm white, all we play is Go Fish and Cornhole!" Can confirm.
  • The Grandma rule goes across all societies & cultures: take the food, thank them, eat it.

As a white Cop who used to work in a small town with a black community, I found myself at a Black Cookout once while patrolling the neighborhood. The invite caught me off guard, but I couldn't turn them down. Great experience, and from that point forward, we were FAM. God Bless my dudes!

As an old white dude who's had the pleasure of being at a LOT of black cookouts, this had me dying...I remember all these feelings from my first one and just like him I ain't ever turning down an invite to another one.

All this racial shit going on in the news and it’s gonna be this guys cookout experience that brings everyone together. This is amazing.
  • No matter your color, race, religion or creed. One thing unites all of humanity: We all love good food!

Dude, love the reaction! I'm a white boy and was fortunate enough to be invited to a black cookout. I was the only white guy there. And that dude ain't lying. Best BBQ and some of the best people you'll ever meet. They treated me like family. To all the white people out there, if you get invited to a black cookout, say yes. Do not hesitate!
  • This white dude is funny as hell 🤣 Great storyteller, his delivery is amazing
  • @Klespyrian
That dude could be a standup comedian. His storytelling and delivery is actually fantastic

Only thing he did wrong: he didn't take a plate home with him

As a male of the Caucasian persuasion I can vouch for this experience. My best friend we grew up knowing each other from school invited me over for a cookout one day. I'm a big guy and I can eat. I can tell you by the end of the first plate I had the meat sweats from all that good food. But i pushed on and had atleast another plate and a half of food then dessert. The sides, the desserts, the drinks, the music, and most of all the company was fantastic. Not one single person looked at me differently or said anything about me being there. I was welcome with open arms and I was invited again and I asked what to bring and Nana Fran said "Just bring that appetite". I also invited them to my cookouts so they can show my family how to cook lmai
  • Originally from poland, currently 29. Grew up in Brooklyn, I speak 4 languages, I'm into old school reggae, soundchashes, for those of you familiar, worked 7 different jobs loving them all, since moving to the states, my 3 siblings divided into 13 little beautiful people, that are VERY MULTICULTURAL. My god son is half polish, the other half is Jamaican/ Guyanese / Japanese/ Brazilian. the most fun I've ever had at parties, was with West Indian people ( trinidad/ Guyana) and the Caribbean nations. I am a beast with dice, and dominoes, but just like this guy! Not a card man. Peace and love to all. Times are tough, we are all people and need one another

I will BET YOU MONEY that after he left, everybody at that cookout said “I like that dude, he was cool.” Gotta love big families man. 😂❤️👍
  • My first black cookout was in TN. They were our neighbors. My roommate sent me out cause she was nervous. Wound up being the first time i played a scratcher ticket. I won 25$ off a dollar and it was the best bbq pork ribs I've ever had. Even more, i felt like part of the family. It didn't matter i was white. Honestly one of my favorite memories.

One time I donated a bunch of baby stuff to a "black church" on the street I lived on. They were cooking and MADE me get a plate to take back with me since I couldn't stay. I found out "a plate" is like 3-4 plates full of the meat, vegetables and stuff. Then you get a plate or two full of dessert. I ate off that food for nearly a week and it was the best damn food I ever ate. Everyone was so nice.

To everyone that is outside the culture, this is NOT an over exaggeration. He was telling the story and I was just picturing all the cookouts I been too and how accurate this is. The only thing missing is the line dancing.

In a world full of racism this is awesome and so true. I’m a white girl that’s been to an all black cook out several times and enjoyed every minute! I’ve also been to a black family reunion. Of course I stood out but I couldn’t have been more welcome.
