I was really anticipating this review. You didn't disappoint. Thanks Wayne! I was hoping you'd help me choose just one, but instead you made me want to buy both!😄
  • I really enjoyed this video, and was excited when I saw it. I don't think I want to spend $100 on a pen, but I've seen the Bastion pens in aluminum and stainless steel for cheaper...so even though yours was titanium, it was still good to know that Bastion makes a quality product! So thank you!
  • Great review 👍👍👍 I have several Bastion pens and they are all good! Both the cheaper ones as the more expensive 💯 Like the look of Tactile Turn, must try one after your review 👊👊
  • 2 very cool pens. I haven't gone to the more premium pen market yet but these look like 2 great choices. Great video brotha 👍
  • Pretty cool pens Wayne! Would be difficult to choose, they both look nice. Thanks for the video!
  • I love your review and it was pretty comprehensive. It's great you pointed out the length of the pens, as I have similar experiences carrying a pen that is too long and somehow would disappear from my pant pocket simply because it was slowly being pushed out as I was sitting and standing up during the day. I would hate to lose either pens for the price they cost to buy. Based on your review, I ordered the Bastion and I hope it will last until retirement that I could pass down to grandchildren.

I received the Tactical Turn Rockwall today in Magnacut. I think it's time for one of their pens to accompany it! I own the Bastion in both stainless steel and titanium. They're solid pens for the money.
  • Great video, well I've recently started collecting edc pens and boy that bastion is the 1 for me the action feels great and just good feel in hand I have a blk titanium just ordered a blue aluminum 1 and looking at a GUNMETAL ti or grey.

Picked up and have been using the Bastion slim ti.. from .470 width down to .390 is pretty significant and more user friendly. Great pen so far, tho that Tactile Turn is very appealing.

Great video man. Ti scribe is the only bolt action I have tried. I like it. Tried one of Hinderer’s investigators and disliked it. Tactical turn is probably next on the list to try.
  • I have the titanium Bastion arriving soon and I hope its attractiveness will open a faucet of creativity in my poor soul that's so in need of some validation.😁 Thanks much for the helpful Review!💥👍

I just bought the Big Idea Design Ti Pocket Pro. I love the pen. For the fidget aspect I bought the Olight Mini for like a whole $12. So yeah. Best of both worlds.
  • I own TT, Bastion, Smooth Precision Pens, Fellhoelter, Valtcan and Tough Writer among others in aluminum, titanium, brass, bronze and SS. Like the bolt action best but twist, clicky and capped are also ok. Also own the lighter thin metal plastic pens from Energel, Sharpie, Pilot, Zebra and others. I don't like ballpoints or rollerballs as much as gel pens which are smoother and put down a darker more even line. I use Parker and Fisher ballpoint refills in some pens in tougher environments like the car. I try to stay below $100 but have spent up to $180 for US made titanium pens. TT and Bastion now make 'thin' versions of their regular pens. I bought the thin Bastion SS and swapped out the stiff spring for a weaker one and the action is much smoother now. It's indestructible like the TT and a great pen for an import. They're both great pens, just different. You generally get what you pay for in materials and durability. My plastic pens like the Sharpie and Pilot have cracked where they screw together. SS and titanium will be around 200 years after I'm gone. Just enjoy the infinite choices out there and see what fits your budget and writing style.

Great review! I do like the Tactile Turn Slim they offer more refill choices and I like the current pocket clip better. Your right though it's a difficult decision if you had to choose one.
  • @copelandart
I have a Bastion pen, and I do wish there was a right-handed version, as well as some kind of texture in the grip area.. I like it, but...... Also, I swapped the clip for a deep-carry one.

Glad to see your left arm back in action Wayne, but it looks like your hand might need a break now… it looks like your thumb fell into a pencil sharpener! Solid review, I’ve been looking into EDC pens for awhile but personally am a fan of mechanical pencils. I think tactile does have a mechanical pen, any plans on possibly reviewing it? I think there’s huge opportunities in the mechanical pencil world for EDC companies, and it seems like something I’d rather dip my toes into as opposed to watches 🥲 Sunglasses as well?
  • I think the medium Tactile Turn would alleviate the length difference issue but not your heavy hand. To be honest I've never tried Bastion because their price is comparable to USA made. Nothing wrong with Foreign made. Just if I have apples of the same price I'm personally buying American. Great review and video regardless Ole chap. Lol
