Elton nailed this performance. Hence why he's one of the best artists of all time.

. Genuine creativity, flare, and real musical talent. No stupid light or gimmicks. Just the guy, piano, and his mic. That used to entertain thousands.

it really doesn't get any better than this. after so many years of listening to this, I still am amazed at how it makes me feel. You gotta be happy whenever he's performing.

Elton is one of a kind, just like Elvis, Micheal Jackson, the Beatles. Miss the days when people use to write music with passion and from the heart.

The greatest talent in the history of the universe. Long live Sir Elton John.

when I listen to this song it always makes me think about silence and how lucky we are to have talented artists like Elton to turn that silence into music like this. Just think for a second about how depressing it would be if music like this didn't exist

I think 1 of the key factors in these impeccable live renditions of this great song is his endearing piano playing even more important than his singing. He sure knows how to convey emotions through his piano and each time he does it differently!

My mind was quiet for 6 minutes and 5 seconds.. Thank you Sir John....I love you..

It's undisputed that Elton John is one of the greatest musicians of our time.Perhaps the greatest. It's interesting that during his most flamboyant days of stage drag, he was not "out". Those who did not live through that era may not understand just how outrageous his performance apparel was. No matter - you couldn't take your eyes off him. I'm not sure if he "came out of the closet" or was pushed out by feathers, sequins and eye-glasses.

One of his all time greatest performances. The master at work. No comparison is out there. He is simply in a different league.

The way Elton plays piano from 4:28 to 5:12 gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. It's absolutely amazing. The fact that a single man with a piano can create something so beautiful just blows my mind. This is pure talent.

I thoroughly enjoy how at seventeen, I know for a solid fact my children will be raised on this, and music of this era.
  • @bigsbychick

Excellent song about drug addiction. One of the best. God bless Elton and Bernie Taupin. Long may they write! I have seen Sir Elton in concert about 25 times. This song makes me cry so hard every time I hear it. Just gorgeous.
