Whilst writing this list we discovered that Microsoft have relatively few first party franchises compared to Sony, Microsoft and Sega. But despite this, the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S have certainly left their mark with some hugely successful series. So, from titles with iconic characters, such as Halo and Gears of War, to immersive games like Forza and Microsoft Flight Simulator, it's time to rank them all from worst to best.

Barney is Microsoft's best franchise and I can't be convinced otherwise
  • @reeebvc
Doritos Crash Course is a classic! Everyone I knew was playing it and loved it! Great stuff!
  • @Gayliath
Fable & Viva Piñata both deserved WAY higher. Curse those 3rd games dragging them down 🤦‍♂️
  • Actually, I would be interested in seeing every Davilex game ranked worst to best. 😅

Nice! Since you did this, could you do Sega or Capcom next?

The first Doritos game was amazing. Not sure why they made more of them though. They were crap after.
  • I actually did have a dream about barney as a kid. He was my roommate and a basically normal guy (the show was just his job) other than the fact that, when hungry, would just go outside and eat people.

“We’re not counting mobile games because every single mobile game is awful.” Truer words have never been spoken.
  • @dramarabbit69
The link between Fable and Viva Pinata is that they're both British games cause Lionsgate and Rare made them
  • I feel like I am incomplete as a gamer having not played through the Doritos series.
  • @Rosiereo
Honestly this kinda of just shows how Microsoft doesnt have many kick ass titles under their belt.
  • @NathanielBarlam
Surprised to see Zoo Tycoon sitting so low; maybe it's because I played them as a kid but I really enjoyed the first and second installments (though obviously found roller coaster tycoon to be the best in the genre). Also, beating Chip's Challenge is still something I'm quite proud of.

Can you do Sega Franchises next. I love your lists and the channel.
  • Seeing Crackdown never really reach the heights it could've still hurts
  • I’m convinced Ben and Peter are the same person. Perhaps his name is actually Bennen Peter
