Amber Johnson Sentencing 02/03/17

INFO: Amber and James Johnson were sleeping June 3, 2016, when two small children wandered out of their home on Boldt Street in Dearborn, police said. Neighbors said on June 3, 2016, they had seen the children -- ages 2 and 3 -- wandering the streets. Two-year-old Monica fell into a neighbor's pool and was found unresponsive. She died the next day.

If the neighbors saw the 2 kids wandering why did they not do anything I know if I saw 2 young kids without a adult around I would take them in and call police I would not let them wander

What kind of neighbors do nothing when they see small children wandering the streets????

Shame on the neighbor/neighbors who saw a 2 & 3 year old walking around & did nothing!

My 3 year old great nephew stood on a couch arm to unlock a deadbolt and go walking the family Great Dane, at 1:00am. Thank God for neighbors who cared.

If I would have seen 2 small wondering children... I would have gotten the children and drove them to the police department.

9 months isn't anything. I was in rehab longer than that. Mock me for it if you want it saved me life. 4 years + clean.

I don't think she murder her child. But she didn't keep a good eye on the kids neglect unattended death., sad for all.She has to be suffering badly.sad

The questions for this case: 1. Did they neighbor get punished for not reacting to seeing 2 babies walking around in the street? 2. Did the neighbor get a warning for not proper secure the garden/pool so kids and animals don`t fall in to it? 3. If they were seen often walking around in the neighborhood, should not the child services done something earlier? 4. Will the girl get proper treatment to help her get back on her feet? 5. Were is the father?

Whoever saw these kids wandering around and did nothing they themselves are brainless. I mean I would worry this exact thing would happen if i saw littlle kids wandering around.

It really difficult to comment on this ,but let's pray for the family.

I find it absurd that the neighbors did nothing. I remember I saw a young boy about 4 years old walking down the street, I was on my way to the gym. He told me he was on his way to school.. (it was Saturday) I got him, and called the police. Then I saw his guardians (about 5 people) running down the street. They had to deal with the police after that. What a crazy ordeal that was. Shocked me.

I had my boys 18 years apart. My youngest was 2 weeks and my oldest 18 months and I was exhausted. My oldest snuck out of bed and went out the front door and down to my neighbors. Thank goodness she got him bc we had a big pond in the front about 40 feet from our houses. I installed very high locks on my doors after that. I wouldn’t care the sentence the court gave me I’d never be able to live with myself if one of my children passed away and I could’ve done anything to avoid it. This is heartbreaking! 💔😢💔😢

I found a 1 year old girl wandering through a graveyard in the dark at 845pm at night while taking a shortcut through it due to construction in my area. I brought her to the church on the edge of the graveyard because i could see lights on and cars parked there. She had left a choir practise unnoticed by her parents or any other of the other 40 choir members who were there. They were still singing when I brought her in the back door and down the stairs where I had to interrupt the choir practise to let them know I had found her. Needless to say shock all around. I would have phoned the police had the church been empty. Watch your children at all times.!!!!!! They were lucky I happened upon her and not some nut.

if i seen two babys walking around i would call the police n hold them with ice cream till the cops come if someone did that those babys would have still been here . wake up people dont be scared if u see something like that please save a life if u could......

I'm a single mother...I remember being extremely sick with the flu that I had to stay home from work with my 3 & 4 year old. I fell asleep on the couch. They managed to grab their backpacks and jackets and walk straight out of the back sliding door and also opened the lock to the backyard gate. Thankfully the maintenance man found them and knocked on my door. I was shocked they got out of the house. I was terrified they got out of the house. I thank God that nothing like this happened to them or worse but it definitely could have happened. I'm kind of shocked they charged the parents with murder. Clearly it was an accident that was no fault of the mother.

Lol, the Judge said if she is caught with any prescription medication, she must have a prescription from a Physician who is not currently under indictment. Wow Doctors are going to jail too.
