Sounds like Kelly is a middleman playing dumb. He went straight to the scammer and ratted you out, then pretended like he was also playing the scammer.

I'm nigerian, i'm sorry for this unruly behaviour on the behalf of all nigerians, we are not all like this. he cursed your mum at the end of the call, but don't worry it's all going back to him 10 folds. God bless you and your family for everything you do. i have been watching you for 4years now

3rd theory is Kelly is in on the scam , knows he’s a mule but is playing dumb cuz he’s scared he’s about to be busted
  • i like how these scammers are smart enough to think of all these schemes but dumb enough to not recognize "Ben Dover"
  • @valis992000
He got something wrong in the middleman's information and his real middleman is wondering why no money ever shows up.

‘Why would you send me money just for me to send it back???’ — ‘ ……. I’m gonna report you to the authorities.’ Perfectly acceptable answer!

It’s really awful of them to target college students who are often hard up for money and naive enough to fall for something like this. I’m glad you’re exposing the scam

If you see the word “Kindly” RUN!
  • When I first came to the US to pursue my higher education, within 2-3 months of being here, I was targeted by a similar scam. I had been searching for an on-campus job and mistakenly fell for a scam that resulted in me losing a couple hundred dollars and getting my bank account closed due to a fake check. It was a very traumatic experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. I hope that the videos you are creating are helping to raise awareness about these scams. Thank you for producing such valuable content!

We’ve had some teacher email accounts get compromised at my college and they send out emails like this to all the students. We are quick to lock down the account and send out a follow-up email to everyone letting them know not to respond but there’s always someone who falls for it anyways

The real scam is when you have a bachelor's or masters degree but you still need 10 years of experience for a entry level job...

this is a pretty confusing situation. its easy to just believe kelly right away at his word, but he really didnt go very far, and i think its more suspicious that he went straight to talking to the scammer AFTER he JUST SAID ive never heard of this person. if he never heard of him, why did he know who to respond to right away?
  • @triforce_shadow
Yeah I feel like Kelly is in on it.Tried to play dumb, but magically knew how to contact original scammer to mess with him, while also pretending he had no idea his Zelle was being used, but also has had other people send him money and sent it back but wasn't contacted by original scammer on that instance? Those are the halfbaked lies of someone who is a willing accomplice to the scam

I shudder to think of the headway that humanity would make if we put this kind of effort into something productive.
  • When I deposited a large check from my retirement account, my bank took the time to question me about the origin of the money to be sure I wasn't being scammed.
  • Great one PG! Just had a poor young man who fell for a similar scam- the email was sent to everyone at his college in India to their college email address. He notified the College after he was scammed. Thankfully the college took some action on the email address.

Yeah my daughter got a letter about something like this. After looking into it, I found out it was a pyramid scam.
