The most important thing I learned when my son was in Little League (and I learned it the easy way) is that the bat doesn’t matter if you aren’t hitting the ball. So he used a $30 bat, we worked on his mechanics and he started making good contact. The following year I bought one of those $300 bats used for about $150 and from my experience it turned his singles into doubles and his doubles into triples and he got his first (and only HR) that year also. My advice to parents of young hitters would be: Mechanics first and foremost and once they start hitting consistently that a more expensive bat DOES help.
  • Lmao there's a whole generation that regularly smacked dingers using just aluminum bats and brutality. Long live the late 90s-early 2010s.
  • Your hip transfer is nuts. Just perfect. So fluid. No jerking or stutter, just clean. I really enjoy watching good hitters. It's almost art how you execute.

You know what they say... a $500 bat can't fix a $5 swing. But it can turn a game loosing fly ball out, into a game winning home run

The difference with the new composite bats is crazy when the ball is hit properly. In hardball it added 75 feet over std aluminum
  • I played softball in the 70s and 80s and hit HRs with wooden bats. Thst being said, you've got a SWEET swing and your arms are killer!! Keep on truckin', girl! ⚾️⚾️
  • I absolutely love your videos and how much work and dedication you put into them❤

I’ll bet the reverb on your hands and arms are a killer with the $50 and $100 options. But they are terrific options when the littles are just learning. I didn’t start buying the more expensive options until my daughter was in travel ball.

The bat matters, to a point. The flex of the barrel, the way the handle behaves through the swing and allows you to comfortably connect (versus stinging your hands) all matter a lot. But then you have to have all the mechanics of a great swing and timing. That outweighs the bat so a $150 bat for a great hitter is going to be a better output than a $400 bat with a mediocre hitter. It’s always down to the hitter though when home run derbies aren’t your end game.

Have no idea who or what your channel is all about!? But you made me laugh with the “who better” line 🍻I liked and subscribed
  • @KenAdams426
you got that right...the "crack" of the bat is gorgeous. Can see that with ever swing. :)

Thanks for the video. I still love my old DeMarini Fatboy!
  • Can you make a catcher video? Love your channel. Hope you had a good Christmas!
  • Nice video! Love your content. Just curious on how many feet past the other balls did the $500 back go?

That "ting" of the aluminum takes me back to the days of my old Carl Rose Powercell days

Thanks! We're a softball family over here. I had no idea there was $500 bats and that they hit better than cheap ones.
