arrived in nelson to a fire at 602 Josephine street in beautiful nelson BC, We arrived on scene at 5:30 pm. kinda shocked this happened to a beautiful building in nelson. the buildings that caught Fire were 602 Josephine and 624 Victoria. the two buildings were built in the latter 1899. The business's involved in the fire were Divine Alchemy Tattoos ,A Thing of Beauty lingerie. and a small pottery studio. lower side of the building also had Busaba Thai Cafe and Aldo’s Cleaners. hope they are able to reopen soon and build a better community afterwards.
Nelson fire department did a good job at keeping the fire contained to the one building and not spreading. took many hours to put out fire and mop up any hot spots. They had a total of 24 firefighters on scene. and 3 trucks. the ladder truck made a appearance.
