The interior designer came to me with a reference of an abstract painting, the file was too low-res that I couldn't even read the name/signature on that painting. We both agreed that we cannot copy the image, and we don't know the artist hence have no way reaching out to the artist.
I decided to design the mural with reference to the colours & line quality of the original painting. And here it is.

My design came out with way more recognisable forms than the reference image they shared with me. This design is inspired by the Batik motifs, since this mural is for a local restaurant serving local delights. Glad that the client loves it.
