When Scarlet and Violet launched, there was a week at the beginning when hacked shinies had not yet invaded the Surprise Trade. I miss those times.

I can care less if they are legit or not. As long as they aren’t malicious, I’m keeping them.

I release them or put them in a hacked box but I am TAKING THAT MASTER BALL.

I use them for breeding 6 IV pokemon or shinies. No reason to let it go to waste 🤷♂️

Back in SWSH I got wonder traded an unnicknamed shiny Scorbunny with the Libero ability. I was also hunting a shiny Scorbunny, so it was like the stars aligned for me!

I'm glad I got confirmation, I'm just gonna hold on to em, a shiny is shiny, and they're not causing me any problems.

Getting a shiny with good ivs doesn’t automatically make it hacked. Considering you can get 5 perfect ivs from a parent, it’s a 1/31 role and musuda method.

And there’s STILL people that argue that these are legit.

I just keep the hacked shinies that I get from surprise trades. I don't trade them away because they are useless, so I just keep them as trophies.

I take the Ball and release them so as to not contribute to this plague. Plus having many Master Balls is most beneficial (especially if the game has more than one catchable Legendary).

Funnily enough, I wonder what happened to the shiny dunsparce and Tandemaus some of my friends were breeding. They were breeding for 3-segment and 3-family respectively, so when they get a shiny, they save and evolve it. If it isn't the 3 family/segment they'd give it away. I know several had 6IVs before they wondertrade it and they equipped it with an apriball.

I got 3 shiny flutter manes on a sandwich. I kept 2 and tried over multiple days to do the trade code for flutter manes/iron jugulis with someone that didn't have a flutter mane. I finally found someone that was missing one. The ivs aren't incredible, but I hope it made them happy.
