They can’t get rid of Fear and Disgust. They’re such good characters. And I wonder if there’s also gonna be new areas of Riley’s mind that we could explore.

The 27 emotions thing is the only issue I'm having thus far.. might be too chaotic

I have feeling that lust is going to come up in either a bad way or as a comic relief character.

My idea of a sequel would be basically a conflict between emotions and feelings. Emotions and feelings, despite appearing to be the same, they are not!! Emotions are those moments of intensity that don't last long (joy, anger, fear, sadness and disgust), while feelings are more conscious and last longer (like love, depression, hate...). In this idea of mine, feelings would act as "assistants" to the emotions, advising them on how to act. But because emotions would normally disregard them, the feelings would feel themselves unnappreciated and, after being incentivated by feelings like jealousy, hate and frustration, they would revolt against the emotions for the control over Riley's mind. This would be a conflict between emotions and feelings that many teenagers struggle, between knowing what is right or wrong, to act impulsively or repress their emotions, to love or to get overwhelmed by passion.

I'm not so sure about Railey having like 27 emotions. Because it might be too much. Also, her parents are adults but had 5 emotions like her. It wouldn't make sense for only her to have more emotions.

I feel like adding new emotions would create a huge plothole because the first movie established that everyone, even the adults, have the same 5. I'm wondering if maybe the new emotions eventually leave or merge back into the original 5? Or maybe we don't see more than 5 in other people because we're working from Riley's perspective? Idk it just seems like something that doesn't make sense with the previous world building

I think some of the new emotions will be hope, curious, boredom, jealous, or envy, love, brave, mischief, tense, shy, rebellion, embarrasment, surprise, satisfaction, annoyance, affection, pride, compassion, frustration, loneliness, anxiety... etc. Just to name some.

As soon as she said 27 emotions, I was already thinking that most people weren't going to like the movie and people will get too overwhelmed. The movie might end up being too chaotic and crazy. Hopefully the creator know what they are doing. It's sad how fear is not going to be in the sequel because he was my favorite character.

In the first inside out movie we just had the five emotions and because there were so little of them we could get to know their personalities a lot better but in the second one with up to 27 emotions I feel like there won’t be enough time to fully get to know each one so we might have a lot of unfinished characters.

I don’t mind if they did not do this but I think it’ll be amazing that if Riley gets new emotions, one of them will be like passion or love. Because you know, most people got their first crush in their teen life 😊

The ending of Inside Out always gets me. I still remember when I moved as a kid. My friends, my house, my family, all left behind when we moved. But that just goes to show how amazing this movie is, they did a great job making it relatable for a lot of people. I'm hoping they can make the sequel just as beautiful

I hope Inside Out 2 is much better than the first movie, and I would like to hear Nick Kroll will play an antagonist in the sequel, I don’t know why but I would like to hear his voice for some antagonist

Honestly, I think the new emotions might be more severe/controlled versions of the basic emotions (like extended family). Anger is an immediate reaction when you’re a kid, but as a teen there’s Irritation and Self-Hatred too. There’s Sadness as a kid, but as a teen you notice Disappointment, Despair, Grief, and Hopelessness. As a kid there’s Joy, but as a teen there’s Excitement, Friendliness, Compassion, Pleasure, and Love. There’s Fear, but there’s also Guilt, Concern, Panic, Anxiety, and Dread. There’s Disgust, but also Loathing, and Revulsion. So like, Sadness is Despair’s little sister, and Anger and Self-Hatred are second cousins. Which means Depression is Hopelessness and Dread’s child 😅🤔

My guess is that Mindy will be most likely to come back to the show after the outrage from the new Velma show she made

I wonder how new emotions will work out for this, since we saw in Riley's parents they also just had 5 emotions back then?? And 27 might be far too many and too cluttered to make it focus easier on each of them
