FrankenstratAssassin meaning: As a long time Van Halen fan and historical aficionado of the band, it has been my pursuit to correct the entire planet on what Edward Van Halen's famous homemade guitar was named. At some point, there were larger media circles that began to call it "Frankenstrat" and for whatever reason, it stuck. This is NOT the actual name of the guitar at all. It has been and always will be named "Frankenstein." This is exactly what is scribed on the instrument's own guitar case. This has also been corroborated by Wolf Van Halen who, as the proud keeper of his father's historic monstrous creation, would certainly know better than anyone. Hence, the name "Frankenstrat" needs to be.... assassinated.
