WCAX-TV is Vermont's Own, founded here in the Green Mountains of Vermont to serve the region with the most local news, weather and sports coverage for Vermont, North Country New York and the Upper Valley. Everyday we cover the most local stories in the most local newscasts, from the most local journalists working across Vermont and the region. The most experienced local weather team has several times the forecasting experience of other local stations combined, and our local sports team is on the ground across the region sharing the stories of local sports from high school to the pros to carry on the legacy started when our team of Vermonters climbed the state's highest mountain and brought TV to Vermont in 1954.
