ginkgoripple was formerly a wandering loner living on their own after striking out from their family’s small group in order to start their own life. they had a very difficult time on their own after the eruption— though they’d escaped some of the worst wounds they’d seen on other cats, their leg was caught under rubble and burned badly.
they searched for others to help for a while before stumbling upon a clan, at which point their leg had gotten badly infected and required amputation. they’ve been staying with the group ever since, initially claiming that they were just trying to heal and leave on their own again. it’s plain to see that they’ve well-past healed, though, and they’ve simply grown comfortable in the clan and its lifestyle.
ginkgoripple is observant, hard-working, and a quick thinker, always taking what they know to come up with plans and work out the best course of action. they are generally introverted and are independent, preferring to remain on their own. they don’t hate the presence of other cats, but they always feel awkward approaching others and engaging in conversation. they tend to be stubborn and speak bluntly, refusing to mince their words, and they are easily overwhelmed which limits their ability to think quickly in stress. once they calm down, though, they can be a valuable asset in planning.

— amputated leg is scarred. a few burn scars run up that side of their shoulder/a bit on their torso.
— always wears fabric tied around their amputated leg. pattern on the fabric is of ginkgo leaves.
— has various leaves caught in their long fur at almost all times— especially in their long tail— no matter how much they try to clean their fur.
