California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order Thursday allowing state officials to begin dismantling homeless encampments.

The order comes in response to a recent Supreme Court decision that gave officials authority to remove the encampments and ticket people for camping in public. Newsom called on California officials to "act with urgency to address dangerous encampments."

KTLA's Carlos Saucedo reports on July 25, 2024.

Ahhh. The American dream in technicolor. The streets aren't paved in gold, they're paved in tents and garbage.

He should remove himself and his staff from office for stealing the states funds for his personal finances.

Seems like a political move to me. How much did it cost to build that building downtown where it costs $600,000 per unit you should have used that money to help the homeless people by building more mental health facilities it is really sad to see what the state has become. Or the misallocation of millions and millions of dollars that was supposed to be for the homeless. But now all of a sudden 3 months out from election you want to clean up Los Angeles where will these people go. What is surprise me if you're trying to run for vice president Democrats really screwed their party and fumbled the ball😢😂😢😂

They should be relocated to Nuisance's residence, and the human rights group should house them as well.

Homeless advocates, YOU can go and protest out of this state.

Most people don't have problems with the homeless. In fact, many are compassionate of them. It's when the homeless take drugs and alcohol, pee and poop on the sidewalk, leave piles of junk all over the street, and act rude that people had enough of them.

The people in those camps have to go somewhere. They certainly won’t be going to Gavin’s.

Looks like he might be trying to clean up CA so he can get credit for doing something when he tries to run for president. That train left the station Gavin.
